Miyuki's POV
I snapped my eyes open, feeling a sudden surge of energy coursing through my veins. The demon, still writhing in pain from the divine blood, struggled to get up.
I gripped my sword tightly, my vision focusing sharply on him.
He looked at me, his eyes wide with terror. "No, no, no! It's not possible for a normal person to get up after all that," he stammered, his voice trembling.
"Exactly, Heavenly Breathing..." I rubbed my blood against the blade of my sword, watching it glow a fierce red.
"Eighth Form—Raging Blood Moon!" With a swift movement, I appeared behind him, my sword ready to strike. He tried to dodge, but I was faster, beheading him in one clean stroke.
He let out a gurgled scream, his head rolling to the ground. But before I could catch my breath, the severed body stood back up again, driven by sheer demonic will.
"Why won't you stay dead?" I muttered, feeling exhaustion creeping back into my limbs. I picked up my other sword and lunged forward, meeting him head-on.
"Please... spare me!" he begged, his desperation was palpable as he crawled away, his hands trembling.
"Run,"
I stared at him coldly, my eyes devoid of mercy.
He scrambled to his feet and bolted, but I was already moving.
"Fire Breathing: Final Form—" My blade sliced through tore through flesh and bone, the force of the attack overwhelming.
"Crimson Tempest!!" In an instant, his body was shredded into countless pieces
I stood over the remnants, my breathing steady, the bloodstained ground a testament to my power. There was no mercy, no hesitation—only the silence that followed his death.
"Aah... that's my limit." The adrenaline began to fade, and I felt the pain of my injuries. My legs gave out, and I collapsed, looking up at the sky. The night was still young, stars twinkling faintly above.
I tried to move my fingers, but they felt numb and unresponsive. My right ear was ringing, and I couldn't see out of my right eye. The world around me was a blur of pain and exhaustion.
Despite everything, I forced myself to stand. "As a goddess... a child is still struggling to fight," I whispered to myself. I couldn't afford to rest yet.
There were still people to protect, still battles to fight.
With unsteady steps, I began to move forward, each step a cutting a nerve in my body. The night wasn't over, and neither was my fight. I finally reached the heart of the battle, the town engulfed in flames.
Thick columns of smoke filled the air, turning the once lively district into a scene of chaos and destruction. In the midst of it all, I saw Tanjiro fighting desperately against the demons.
Gyutaro loomed over Tanjiro, his eyes gleaming with malice. "How are you still alive?" he sneered. "You must be lucky."
Above them, Daki watched with a cruel smile. "Everyone is dead," Gyutaro taunted. "Inosuke has been stabbed, Zenitsu is trapped under rubble, and your Hashira is dead from poison. You're pathetic, just like your sister."
Tanjiro's hands trembled with rage and despair. "She's my younger sister," he managed to say, his voice shaking.
Gyutaro laughed mockingly. "You can't protect her. As the eldest, you should be the one protecting her."
With a sadistic grin, Gyutaro twisted and cracked Tanjiro's fingers, "Aaah!!" the sound echoing in the burning streets.
He slapped and insulted my brother repeatedly, each blow landing with sickening force. "Tengen..!! Tengen!!"
