Y/N—

The next couple days out in Gwangmyeong went by quickly. We did a lot of things, and played a lot of games, had a lot of time to bond. Everyone was having so much fun, and getting a lot closer with the others as well. It was hard not to, when we were forced to hang out and do things with each other for those few days.

And Kai. It was hard to deny it—I had completely let my guard down with him. He made me feel so comfortable and at ease, and when we were together one on one it felt like we were teenagers again. This time away from Seoul gave me a glimpse of what it'd be like if I wasn't an idol, and he was in the center of it. I kept thinking—if I wasn't an idol, would everyday be as nice as this?

It made me sad, and I didn't like it. I knew at this point, I would be happier if I wasn't an idol—but seeing it, experiencing it, made it all feel more real. And when I went back to reality, realized I was an idol that couldn't freely live like this, had ten million things to do and so many people relying on me—it made me feel terrible.

One of the more memorable things we did was a scavenger hunt in a village nearby. That morning, we all piled into our busses and drove down, being dropped off and not being able to go back until we found all the items. Additionally, we were split into two teams and the team that lost would have a punishment.

I got off the bus, still groggy from napping on the ride here. "This is stupid." I mumbled with annoyance, wishing we were back at the cabin, relaxing, instead of having to walk around.

"Don't be so negative." Kai laughed, glancing down at my grumpy face. "It'll be fun. We're on the same team." He added with a mischievous smile.

"Whatever." I rolled my eyes at him, nudging him away with my shoulder. He was getting comfortable, too comfortable, talking to me now.

The production crew began counting down for us, and although I wasn't planning on running, but the moment they said to start, everyone took off like madmen and I was forced to join them. Of course everyone was being competitive about this too.

"Beomgyu! Do you even know where we're going?!" I shouted at him, who was leading our group.

"No! I'm just running because everyone else is!"

"Are you kidding?!" Kai shrieked.

The five of us—Kai, me, Beomgyu, Soobin, and one of my members—stopped by a tree once we were far enough from the other group that they couldn't follow us. We took out the map, looking at the challenge destinations and trying to figure out which was the closest. The boys were too slow with understanding the map so I was in charge of directions.

"I got the worst team ever." I complained as we started walking towards the park we were trying to go to.

"Do you really mean that?" Kai asked me, wearing a ridiculously cute pout on his face. I gave him a disgusted look.

"Cute, but that doesn't work on me." I rolled my eyes at him. He laughed.

"What about me, Y/N?" Beomgyu asked, making the same face, batting his eyelashes at me. I looked even more disgusted, backing away from him and towards Kai.

I scoffed and shook my head, shooing him away. Kai chuckled beside me, glancing down at me with a smug look on his handsome face. "I'm better, aren't I?"
