Y/N—
The more time I was able to spend with Kai, the more I was beginning to see that awkward and stuttering kid from all those years ago. He often was confident in himself, but it was incredibly endearing how he was so easy to embarrass. I liked how strange he was.
I was happier than ever, having him in my life now. It was like a giant weight had lifted off my shoulders. Although I still struggled being an idol and hating it, now I didn't feel so alone, because I knew he was by my side. He listened to me vent to him, and I did the same for him. He was caring, respectful of me, and was a fun person to be around. I sometimes felt envious of Kai—how was it fair that one person had everything?
We'd been working on our song together for months now, finally being able to get Beomgyu on board with it. He offered to help us write lyrics and everything else too, but he often was not really any help and messed around the whole time. There was one particular night where he said he'd come meet us at the studio but then made us go over to him instead so he could eat the fried chicken Soobin had bought.
"Sorry, Y/N. That you have to walk over to our place now." Kai sighed. We were on the way to their place now.
"It's okay." I was actually pretty excited, because I'd been curious as to what TXT's place looked like. "I want to see your room." I told him with a smirk.
Kai seemed to not like this, his face looking scared. "Erm...maybe not tonight."
"What? Why?"
"It's like, super messy. You'll be disgusted."
"Ugh." I pouted, shaking my head. "But I want to see Chi Chi. It's been years."
Chi Chi was the name of Kai's favorite Molang plushie, and also my favorite out of his collection because it was the cutest and wore a sloth suit.
"Chi Chi is gone. I gave her away."
I turned to him, my face in absolute shock. Kai Kamal Huening, giving away his plushies? That was absolute blasphemy. "What?! Why?!" I shrieked.
He shrugged, rubbing the back of his neck. "Well, I just thought that I wasn't a kid anymore and it was weird that my entire bed was full of plushies. So I donated most of them."
I was shocked. I knew his obsession with plushies, that was like one of the cutest things about him. Now he was telling me that they were all gone?
"Who are you?" I asked him, frowning. "Chi Chi is gone...so is Barry, and Kai Kai, and—"
Kai chuckled, shaking his head. "If I knew you'd be this upset over it I would've given them to you." He said.
"I would've taken them..." I grumbled. "Look at you, trying to be all cool nowadays. Who are you trying to impress?" I scoffed.
He shrugged, smiling. "The ladies." He smirked.
His response irked me. What? Was he bringing ladies over enough to have to give away his stuffed animals? Why would there be ladies in his room? What was he doing with them? I pursed my lips together tightly.
"I don't throw away my plushies because of men." I shot back, feeling incredibly jealous now. Here I was, a complete and utter loser who hasn't even lost her virginity not alone her first kiss. Meanwhile Kai, who was handsome, kind, a gentleman—literally the perfect man—probably has kissed dozens of girls within this past couple of years.
"I'm kidding." Kai said, nudging my shoulder. "It was a joke. I did it because it was taking up too much space in my bed."
