IN THE EARLY HOURS OF THE MORNING, THE
forest was filled with the chirpings sounds of birds, and the soft hum of the crickets in the long grass. Despite the early hours, the group of eight delinquents didn't feel tired as they trekked through the woods. Other than Murphy, they could run through the woods if it meant finding their friends.

Murphy didn't care. He was happy to be freed from the lockup in Camp Jaha. He was less happy over the restraints that still bound his hands together.

"Alright Murphy, where to now?" Bellamy asked.

Murphy held up his hands. "I say we lose these first, huh?"

"No." Waverly and Bellamy said.

Murphy scowled. "Hey, if we get attacked out here, I have nothing to defend myself with."

Waverly only shrugged. "You're mistaking us for people who care."

Jasmine looked towards Murphy, her eyes caught on her brother. She shifted her knife from her pocket, walking across towards him. "Well, I care." She said, cutting the restraints, freeing his hands.

Murphy stared at her, surprise lit in his eyes. "Thank you."

Bellamy grabbed her arm. "What the hell do you think you're doing?"

"Protecting my brother." Jasmine said, looking back towards him as she pulled her arm free. "If we're attacked out here which we probably will be, he'll be dead if he's hands are tied. You said it yourself, Bellamy. He's the only one who's been to the prison camp, right? That sounds like we need him alive."

"It was your idea to bring him." Finn looked towards Bellamy.

"Yeah, because he's the only one who's seen where the Grounders keep their prisoners."

"Then Jasmine's right." Finn stated. "We shouldn't let him be defenceless out here. We can handle Murphy."

Waverly flickered her gaze between Finn and Jasmine, shaking her head as she remembered all that Murphy did. It didn't take much, still feeling the bruises painted across her body, the swelling of her face that only just started to fade. "You two better hope so because you saw what happened the last time we couldn't."

Connor and Myles were killed.

Raven was shot.

Bellamy was hung.

She was nearly killed.

Murphy pushed forward, a smirk across his lips. "So...do I get a gun now?"

Waverly responded by pushing him forward, her fists clenched. She looked back towards Bellamy. "I trust you, Bellamy, but bringing him was a terrible idea."
