WAVERLY'S BODY BURNED AS WET, HOT TEARS
rolled down her face. Soft sobs left her body, as she tugged her arms, craning her neck, doing anything to move from where she was locked down to the table. The longer the drilling went on, the weaker she felt. It almost felt like too much effort to even scream, despite the pain not ceasing as they continued.

"Talk to me, guys." She muttered out in a rasp, her head turned to where Harper was chained, with Miller and Sam. She tried to use her friends as a distraction. "I'm not dead yet."

Miller let out a soft laugh, his eyes soft towards her. "You're seriously gonna make dead jokes right now?"

"Her dead jokes suck." Sam stated, but his eyes brightened in amusement. "Dumb to run in here."

"Yeah." Waverly breathed out, pain shuddering through her. "It's okay," she whispered out. "Bellamy will come through."

She knew he would.

She gasped out as tears rolled down her face, feeling the drill in her hip. "Bellamy will come through."

Cage returned to the dorm. He barely spared a glance to Waverly before he ordered the doctor, "take that one off the table."

Sam stared at Waverly in confusion. "Bellamy works fast," he said.

"Sir," the doctor looked up, still having more doses he could extract from Waverly. "We're not done."

"Now!" Cage ordered. He turned, stepping to the wall where Abby and Kane were chained to. He looked at the doctor with a cold gaze as he made his next demand. "Put her on it."

Waverly started shaking her head, feeling the straps unlock from the table. "No," she mumbled out, trying to move her body. She could barely lift her arms, being stuck in their holds as she was pushed onto a metal table, not even being tied down. The Mountain Men knew as well as she did that she couldn't fight her way out of there. She could barely move.

Waverly's head turned, looking to where Abby was pushed onto the table. She lifted her head weakly, looking to Cage. "Clarke really pissed you off, huh?"

Kane was shouting again, the chains at his hands rattled as loudly as when they strapped his daughter down. It was happening again where he had to watch his friend suffer the same fate. "No one has to die for bone marrow. We can donate it! We can donate it! Hey, we can donate it!"

Cage shook his head. "That'll never happen."

"I can. I can make it happen." Kane said. "With her help. We can all survive."

"We can't." Cage watched Abby. "Proceed with the drilling."

Hazel was staring at Clarke, the threat she had spat out at Cage creeping through her. It was a long way from her declaring that it was a rescue mission, and they were to spare the innocent. Of course, that was when they had the Grounder alliance backing them up.
