BELLAMY LOOKED TO WHERE CLARKE WALKED through the woods, a distracted look across her face. She continued to stare at the trees around them, lost in her head. She had barely spoken since leaving for the Grounder village, making sure to look away from the cart that pulled Finn's body. Raven was sitting on the cart, refusing to leave his body.
"Hey." He said. "You doing alright?"
Clarke quickly looked from the trees, bobbing her head. "Yeah."
"You did the right thing." Bellamy continued.
"Now I get to live with it." Clarke sighed out. "You still think this truce is a bad idea, don't you?"
Bellamy only looked at her. "I think we're wasting our time with politics while our friends are in trouble."
"We need their army to get to Mount Weather, Bellamy." Clarke reminded him, "and you know it."
"Their army has been getting their ass kicked by Mount Weather forever." Bellamy pointed out. "What we need is an inside man. Someone to be our eyes and ears."
Waverly stared at him. "By someone you mean you?"
The idea settled in her head. Aside from the clear danger to the plan, it was a good idea.
Clarke disagreed. "Forget it. It's too dangerous."
"Clarke, if you can make it out, I can make it in." Bellamy argued.
"I said no." Clarke remained firm, her voice fierce.
Bellamy's jaw clenched. "Since I don't take orders from you, I'm gonna need a better reason."
Clarke sighed out, fear shining in her eyes. "I can't lose you too, okay?" She then walked ahead of them.
Bellamy glanced towards Hazel and Waverly who remained with him. "What do you think?" He asked.
"I think it's dangerous." Waverly answered honestly. "You could easily get caught and killed, or get our friends in more trouble than they're already in...But it's a good idea. Might I make a suggestion to it?"
Curiosity arose his face. "What?"
"You shouldn't go alone." Waverly said. "Someone should be with you. Someone who you can work with inside so you're not all on your own."
Bellamy's eyebrows rose. "You mean you?" He shook his head as she nodded. "That's dangerous too."
"If it saves our friends, then it's worth the risk." Waverly stated. "I'm not losing anyone else, and my friends are in that mountain, Bellamy. I have to get them back. If you go in, I go in."
