WITH THEIR FRIENDS SAFE AND IN HIDING, IT
allowed focus to go towards the acid fog. Waverly and Bellamy still had to figure out how to disable it for their awaiting army. Once the acid was down, either Raven or Hazel would send a flare up to warn the army, and they would head back to the Harvest Chamber to free Echo and the other Grounders inside.

Waverly walked through the facility with Bellamy, looking for the source of the fog. Her dark hair was still left down to cover her face, as well as wearing a black hat she borrowed from Maya. They were in a more restricted part of the mountain.

Bellamy grabbed his keycard, scanning at a door to pass through. Instead of lighting up green like it always did, the scanner flashed red as the door remained locked.

"Bellamy, come in." Hazel's voice quickly came up on the radio.

"Yeah, I'm a little busy here, Haze." Bellamy muttered out, turning towards another door. Waverly kept the pace with him, watching as his keycard wouldn't work for that door either.

"You guys missed check in." Raven said. "Is Waverly with you? Did you find the source of the acid fog yet?"

"We're working on it." Waverly said. "How's my dad?"

She didn't have the full details of what happened in the village, but she did know that the missile hit, and the village hadn't been evacuated. Raven gave them light details, wanting their focus to stay on finding the fog but she had assured that Octavia and Kane had survived.

Surviving had to be enough for now until she could see him herself.

"He's alive, he's healing up just fine. Don't worry about him." Raven said quickly. "Now about the fog?"

"We're on our way there now." Bellamy said, "it's taking longer than I thought."

"We don't know enough to crack it on this end." Raven said, "you gotta give us something."

"Yeah, we're working on it, Raven." Waverly sighed out. She watched as his card didn't work on another door. "Bellamy?"

Bellamy shook his head, "something's wrong."

"What?" Hazel asked quickly.

"My keycard isn't working." Bellamy explained quickly. His head turned, meeting Waverly's gaze.

"That's not good." Raven muttered out.

"We need to find another way in." Bellamy said. "I'll call you back.

"Stay right there!" Someone shouted towards them, "hands in the air!"

At the sound of shouting, Waverly turned her head slightly. She looked towards the two guards that were closing in on them, guns aimed. She could safely assume they had figured out about Lovejoy which was why the card wasn't working. She also knew if they hadn't figured out Bellamy wasn't working alone, they had now.
