JASMINE'S EYES WERE WIDE, TAKING IN HER surroundings. The Grounders had brought them into some building, presumably in one of their villages. Their hands tied as they were forced to their knees. She wasn't sure if it was a good sign or not that they were still alive. She did wonder why the Grounders didn't just kill them in the woods. She turned her head, looking to Clarke and Finn beside her.
"We walked for about three miles after crossing that creek." Finn whispered to them. "Another two or so before we got to the road."
Jasmine nodded at him, realising why he paid attention. "You think you know how to get us home."
Clarke shook her head. "I don't think it matters, Finn. They didn't blindfold us, which means they don't care what we saw. They're probably gonna kill us."
"But why take us here?" Jasmine whispered. "Why not just kill us in the woods like they've done before? They just killed Mbege, Roma, and Briggs without taking them anywhere. And they shot Myles down and left him there. There has to be a reason."
The Grounders came back, dragging them into another room. They were pushed back on their knees. Another came walking in behind them, rounding in front of them. A woman- their leader. Anya. The one that met Clarke on the bridge.
Anya pulled out her sword. She then leaned forward, cutting the ropes from Clarke's wrists. She didn't step towards Finn and Jasmine.
"What do you want from us?" Clarke asked.
Anya nodded towards a table, showing a young girl laying across it. She was gasping out, uneven breaths escaping her. "Help her," Anya demanded. She then pointed her sword towards Finn and Jasmine. "If she dies, they die."
Anya walked back towards the young girl, leading Clarke towards the table. "Her name is Tris."
"I can't do this." Clarke shook her head. "I don't have any equipment."
"We'll provide you with what we can." Anya said.
"Why do you think I can save her?" Clarke asked.
Finn's eyes widened. "Lincoln told her."
"Yes." Anya nodded. "Our healer is gone. There's nothing we can do for her. For their sake, I hope you can."
"Clarke, you can do this." Finn looked towards her.
"Wait." Clarke looked to where Anya was leaving. "What happened to her?"
"She was on the bridge when your bomb exploded." Anya glared back at them. "You did this to her."

Jasmine listened to the hoarse sounds of Tris's breathing, the soft coughs violently escaping her. "She's getting worse."
