Chapter 50

" Rony Bear!!!" I squeal in surprise from my breakfast table when I see him enter from the main doors.

" My sweet berry!!"

I jump in his wide open arms, letting him envelope me in his warm embrace. It has been so long since I last saw him. He is still the same, my sweet, cuddly Rony bear. Or maybe he got a little bigger.

He peppers my face with kisses and breathes in from my neck. Sighing in relief, he mutters. " Only Goddess knows how much I missed this scent of yours."

Just like the brothers, Ronan has always loved my body scent. Whenever I was around, he would ask to take a whiff of my scent. It was odd, but I loved to see his goofy smile that came with it, and let's not forget his charming face. He is definitely a sight to hold.

Even after working for the military projects, he still knows how to charm people with his looks. It's not fair, but I haven't heard anyone complaining yet.

" You can put her down now. You know." Eli grumbles behind me. He always complains that Ronan takes my attention away from everyone. But I will side with Ronan here this time because he rarely gets to see me due to his projects.

" Just a few more minutes. Please." He replies, face still in my neck. " I missed her so much."

" We can see that, but she was having dinner." Eli says.

" Why are you here?" Rey gets straight to the point.

" Well, I'm finally here to take her away from you guys. I'm done with the field projects. So I think now I can take care of her properly." Ronan replies, grinning widely.

" NO WAY!!"

" LIKE HELL YOU WILL!!"

" WE WILL NEVER ALLOW THIS. GIVE HER BACK TO ME RIGHT NOW RONAN!!"

Ronan raises his eyebrows in surprise at their outburst and then bursts into laughter. Rey, Eli, and Zed are glaring at him, but Ronan only shakes his head and moves us toward couches.

" So, how's my sweet berry doing? Did she miss me?" I nod eagerly at him, making him gasp loudly. Pulling me in his chest, he starts to play with my fingers. " You know you were the reason why I worked so hard there. So I can come and see you early."

" You are staying longer this time. Right?" I ask hopefully.

" Yes. I'm definitely staying longer this time, or maybe if things go as planned, I will stay here with you." He beams.

" That will be so cool. Then I can see you every single day."

He frowns. " See me? You won't shift with me? I thought you would....."

" Like hell she will. She stays with us right where she belongs." Rey says possessively.

When I first met Ronan, a few weeks after I teleported here, I started to feel comfortable around him. But he had to go for his military projects, so he offered me to live with him when he returned. But somehow, I always knew that I belonged with the Dawn brothers, so I never promised him anything.

" Princess, are they taking care of you properly? They aren't forcing you to do something that you don't want to do, right?" He asks seriously, looking me in the eye.

I know he is worried about my safety. Even though he has known Dawn brothers since they were kids, he is still choosing me over them.

" Yes, Rony bear. I'm very happy here. Daddy, Rey, Eli, and Zed love me a lot. And I want to stay here."

He nods, smiling at me, but I can see the sliver of sadness in his eyes. " That's good. It's good to hear that you're well taken by..... wait, Daddy? Who is Daddy?"

" It's Alerix. She is calling him Daddy these days." Eli explains.

Ronan gasps loudly. " Princess, you gave that arrogant man a nickname and not me? That's not fair." I giggle when he tries to pout but fails miserably.

" I gave you a nickname- Rony bear."

" Princess, I don't even know what a bear actually is. Do you guys know anything about bears?" He asks the brothers who shake their heads in denial.

" But I like it. It suits you, and it came from my heart." I try to make him understand.

" It did? Then I will accept it. If my berry feels it's right, then it's definitely right." He presses his lips on my forehead, swaying my body with his.

" You still didn't say why you are here?" Rey looks impatient like he wants something to happen.

Ronan shrugs, eyes still on me. " Told you. I came to see my berry and.... I've some business with that arrogant man who didn't think it was important to inform me about her kidnapping."

" We did send the message, but you didn't reply."

" Rogues have been messing up with our technology these days, but you could have sent an informer instead of sending a digital message."

" We didn't have time for messages, and we didn't want to waste any men when they could be used for finding her."

Ronan sighs, looking conflicted but doesn't argue further.

" Why are you calling him an arrogant man?" I ask him politely. He chuckles, brushing his fingers on my cheeks.

" Because he is an arrogant man."

" But he is your best friend."

" That is where you are wrong, my berry. I made him my best friend when we were kids out of pity because no one wanted to be around that arrogant prick. You can already see that I have a huge heart and....."

" And no brain."

Oh my. Daddy is here.

Ronan grins widely when Daddy joins us on the couch. " Alerix! My brother. How are you? I wish I could say I missed you, but that will be a lie. That emotion is stored for my berry only. Right darling?" He nuzzles my nose with his.

" You're early."

" Yes. I am. Since you've been so obedient in your claims to keep her safe. I've to come and see for myself."

Daddy sighs in frustration. He rubs his forehead and tries to glare Ronan down. But Ronan being Ronan, he grins widely at him.

I giggle at their antics.

" Princess, come finish your dinner." I get up from Ronan's lap to follow Eli where he feeds me on the breakfast table.

" What happened to Rey? Why is he on edge today?"

" He will be fine. He just got triggered....maybe. You were away for so long. I think when Ronan talked about taking you away, he panicked.

I can only hum in reply. I just hope everything goes back to normal. I don't like it when my guys are tense.

In the middle of the night, I get up from my bed, grab my stuffie, and decide to end my misery. Walking on my toes, I gently unlock the door and enter his room.

His huge form is blanketed in the darkness, but the outline is still visible. I tiptoe around the bed to place my stuffie beside him and get under the blankets over his very naked back.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exh..

His hand grabs me and pins me under him to kiss my lips hard.

" Daddy." I whimper. He groans in reply and throws his tongue in my mouth. Gently sucking my tongue, tasting me. It hasn't even been a full day, and I lost my battle. Moving his lips from mine, he kisses me hard around my body, leaving hickeys on my neck and collarbone.

Finally, when he was satisfied, I fell asleep in his arms, sucking his thumb.
