Chapter 53

“ Zed, it's too early to hold a party at the castle. And not to mention, too dangerous. You know there are people out there looking for a sign to be the cause of our downfall, yet you're suggesting things like this.” Daddy says, annoyed. 

He has been working really hard these days. And I can only imagine the cause of his sharp tone. Trying to be on his good books, I chose to sit on the couches of his home office instead of his lap.

Although I miss his close proximity, I try to stay put and let him complete his work. Then he will be all mine to spend my time with.

“ It won't be a grand event. Just a small one.”

“ How many people are there in your small event, Zed? Because last time you invited about a hundred guests claiming to have only a mini get- together with your friends. So what's the number now?”

“ Umm……” Zed nervously rubs the back of his neck.

“ Zed, I have work to do, and I bet I gave you some too, which I hope you are done with since you're making party talks so eagerly.”

“ Oh yes. It's almost done.” 

Liar. Liar. Even I can tell when Zed lies.

“ Then go. Finish it.” Zed fidgets on his legs, still hoping to convince Daddy.

“ Don't you think we should do something for her?” I mentally facepalm. I can't believe Zed is using guilt to get his way.

“ You know she…. didn't only start her new life here, but she also gave us a new beginning. So it's kind of our birthday too. She deserves that celebration, brother.”

I can see Daddy’s mind changing. 

Don't say yes, Daddy. Please don't say yes. Please, Daddy. 

His eyes meet mine, and I don't know what he saw in them because he comes to a conclusion. 

“ Fine. But not now. I will tell you the dates.”

“ When?”

“ When our war with Nat is over.” 

“ What? That's not happening anytime soon.”

“ Zed!” Daddy warns. Zed leaves the office deflated. I don't think he expected that after his awesome speech. But nevertheless, I'm happy.

“ Come here, princess.” Daddy calls, head still in his work.

I lightly paddle toward his chair. When I'm within his reach, he grabs my waist and sits me on his lap. I gasped at the sudden movement, and he wastes no time in kissing me hard on my lips. The kiss is urgent and sloppy. 

Daddy likes sloppy kisses. 

His beard grazes my sensitive skin, making me whimper in desire. He pulls my head closer to his with the back of my head like we are not close enough. I moan when his tongue meets mine. I try to control the kiss, but his long tongue is way too demanding. 

He groans in my mouth when I submit. Pulling me closer to his chest, his other hand starts to rub my back. Getting bold, I move my hands on his chest, shoulders, and hair. Tugging on them slightly. 

All the while, his lips and tongue don't stop working. I try to pull away from his lips, but he tightens his hold on me and squeezes my butt roughly. 

When I whimper, he moves toward my jawline and neck. Gasping in relief and pleasure, I try to clear my head. 

“ Daddy!” I squeal in surprise when he bites on my neck lightly, then soothes it with his tongue. Both moaning at the sensations. I adjust my position to give him better access to my neck but ends up sitting on his bulge. A very hard bulge.
