I've never been a social person in my entire life, but somehow, I managed to survive all the social gatherings on Earth. Each time, I would have to separate myself from the others and try to get myself together before a panic attack struck.

Here, on Ethna, it was difficult in the beginning, but now I have become accustomed to going to the brothers' events. They were all formal, nothing special. I knew what to do and how.

But today is different. Today is scary. My mind is conjuring every type of scenario in its wake and giving me multiple panic attacks at the same time.

I huff a breath and walk toward Eli's room. He asked me to wait for him in my room, but I can't sit still any longer. I'm all jittery with the weird energy flowing through my body. I need to move. From the hallway window, I see Sesqi sitting outside, drawing weird patterns in the sand.

Why is he alone? Where is Shafira?

“ What are you doing?” I ask him, leaning against the window frame.

His head jerks up in surprise, hearing my voice but calming down seeing me.

“ Nothing.”

“ Aren't you excited that you will finally get to live with Shafira now?”

He scoffs. “ Only in her dreams. I was much happier at the discipline center when the officials took me there for a week.”

I frown. What the heck does he mean? Shafira said they loved each other and…… wait. What did Shafira actually say?

I'm doing this for him. I love him.

Ugh… why now? How could I do this? Why did we trust her words alone? Why didn't we ask what Sesqi wanted? I did the same thing that other people did to me ‘ made decisions for them without asking for their opinion ’. Now, because of me, Sesqi is trapped.

“ So, you don't like her?” I hold my breath, waiting in hopes that I might have heard wrong.

“ Of course not. She is just like my Aunt Daedra. Crazy. The only difference is that she is obsessed with me while Daedra is a control freak.”

“ I'm sorry.” I whisper.

“ Why are you sorry?”

“ I asked Daddy to help Shafira because she was crying and said that she loved you.”

“ Well, she does love me in her own twisted way. But I don't. I want to be free, but she keeps chaining me to her. Now that Daedra is out of the picture, I thought I could finally live a little. But Shafira found a way to chain me to her again. It's not your fault. You were only trying to help.”

“ I can ask the brothers to do something about her.” I offer in the hope of encouraging him.

“ Don't do that now. Everything is already set. I don't think the Dawn family is going to like any interruption to their celebration right now.”

“ Had I known you didn't like her……”

“ It doesn't matter now. It's okay. Thank you for talking with me. I feel much better.” He says, smiling sadly.

And I feel worse. How can I do this? I have to talk to someone and help Sesqi otherwise, I won't be able to forgive myself. I see Eli walking toward me in the hallway, and I run toward him.

“ Eli!!! We need to help Sesqi. Now, please.” He picks me up and carries me to his room.

“ What happened?” He asks, concerned.

So, I told him everything that conspired in the hallway while he listened patiently, holding my hands in his huge one.

“ I'm a bad girl, Eli. I should have asked him before…..” I'm crying full blown now. Eli hugs me to his chest and rubs the back of my head.

“ No. You did good, princess. You're such an amazing girl. Always helping others. My baby is the best.”

“ But I…I.." I stutter, failing to form any sentence. Guilty is overpowering my rational mind.

“ No buts, princess. You didn't know back then, but now you do, so we can help him.”

“ We can?” I ask slowly. Like I heard him wrong in the first place.

“ Of course we can. If you want it, you will have it. I don't care where that boy lives, but if it makes you feel better, then we will make it happen for you.”

“ But how, Eli? Everything is set out…..”

He shakes his head, interrupting me. “ Doesn't matter. We will find a way. Now give me a kiss and smile big.” I do as he says. Relieved slightly after sharing my burden with him.

Everyone is gathered at the back of the guest wing garden. Tables are placed on the sides, leaving the center open. I cringe at the thought of what is about to happen here.

“ There you are! What took you so long, princess?” Rey kisses me softly, then Daddy does the same.

“ Eli was dolling up.” I comment from Eli's lap, making Rey laugh so loudly that people turn to look at our table.

Wow. We just walked in, and attention is already on us.

“ Princess?” Eli chokes on his breath.

“ Ohhh…. That was amazing, baby. I can imagine Eli dolling himself up in front of the mirror. It's completely his thing. You said the right thing, princess.”

“ Eli, you look the best.” I peck his cheek in encouragement when he doesn't look as amused as Rey and Daddy are.

“ Am I?”

“ Yes. I like your outfit, and you're wearing my favorite color today.”

“ Thank you, my darling.” He says, nuzzling and pecking my lips slow and rhythmically.

“ Can I sit here if you guys don't mind?” I turn to see my bear standing beside our table.

“ Rony bear!!!” I exclaim, gaining more attention from the crowd. Cringing internally.

“ Hey, my sweet berry. I missed you so much.”  He hugs me tight to his chest and inhales deeply in my neck.

Groaning loudly in my neck. “ I needed this so much. You have no idea how I went through my days without your scent, my berry.”

I giggle when his warm breath hits my sensitive spot. He pulls back, smiling widely. “ I missed your voice, too.”

“ You look tired, Rony bear.” I trace his dark circles.

“ Because I am, my sweet berry. But now that I'm with you. I will find my peace again.” He cups my cheeks with both hands and kisses my forehead.

“ Is there anything you want to share, Ronan?” Daddy asks, sitting across from me.

“ Not right now. Later.” He says, taking his seat beside me.

“ Hello, my boys. I hope I'm not disturbing you all.”

“ Mother, come sit with us, and no, you are not disturbing us.”

“ We were just about to start our dinner, Ms. Hana. Please join us.” Ronan offers.

“ Thank you so much for the offer. But I was planning on sitting with Zed. It looks like he is in desperate need of some company."

We turn to look at Zed, who is joined by multiple women on his table. To my surprise, he looks slightly uncomfortable.

“ Guess he needs some saving right now. I will see you around.” She waves us goodbye as we start with our dinner.

No sooner we finish eating, that the show begins. I wonder why I was having panic attacks to begin with when I'm yawning now in Eli’s arms while Rey covers me with a blanket.

Why do they have a blanket here? But I'm glad they do.
