“ Daddy! Me!” I whine again when Alerix turns to his paperwork.

“ Yes, princess. I'm here. See.” I hum and close my eyes while he caresses the back of my head. Today, I'm having mood swings that are so bad that even Eli surrendered and handed me over to Daddy.

It was nothing big, but my hormones made me overreact. Yes, I'm that girl who blames hormones when she doesn't understand what she is doing and why.

So, back to the Eli episode, he was trying to wake me up from my deep slumber, but my dramatic self chose to make its presence known. While he prepared my bath, I noticed my empty body wash bottle. He offered me another bottle, but my brat side was already on edge, making Eli to be more careful around me after that. I'm grateful that he read my expressions right without me having to voice them.

But, my brat side unleashed when he accidentally spilled some milk on one of my favorite dresses. I had planned that outfit for weeks, and he just ruined it within seconds.

But it wasn't Eli who brought tears to my eyes. It was the same disgusted look on Leya’s face that reminded me of the Pottery class disaster, which led to my breakdown.

I was crying so hysterically that Rey had to call Daddy home from his meeting. When he came with Ronan in tow, he bathed and changed me into my new clothes. This time, I chose a simpler outfit instead of a chic one.

“ Are you going to tell me what made my princess cry today?” I only whined at him, snuggling more in his chest. If possible, I could have made a hole in his chest with the amount of snuggling I was doing today.

A knock interrupts us.

“ Come in.”

“ Is she okay now? I came here to apologize.” Oh my. What did I do? In my drama, I forgot about Eli. I turned to face him and felt devastated with the look in his eyes. It pains me more to know that I caused it.

“ Eli.” I rush to my feet to run toward him. He opens his arms for me. “ Sorry Eli. Bad mood.” I touch my earlobe as a gesture to apologize, which he didn't understand but got the gist of it.

“ Why are you apologizing, baby? I made a mistake…..”

Interrupting him, I say. “ Not my Eli. Just mood. Eli good. Princess bad.”

He frowns, about to argue with me when I press my lips all over his face. Even lightly peck his lips to let him know that he is not at fault.

“ You are not upset with me?”

I shake my head, to which he sighs in relief. “ That's good. You didn't finish your breakfast. Do you want to eat with me?”

“ Okay.”

“ Let's go then.”

“ Bye, Daddy.”

“ See you soon, love.” Daddy replies.

Normally, Eli and I make conversation when we eat together, but I think today he has sensed my temper, so he focused more on feeding me.

“ Is she okay now?” Ronan joins the table. I feel so embarrassed that he got to see my messed up state.

“ She is doing well.”

“ That's great, princess.” When I don't reply, he turns to Eli.

“ She doesn't feel like talking today.”

“ Does that happen often?”

“ Not that often, but yes, it does happen when she nears her bleeding time.”

Why is he sharing my business with Ronan?

Ronan only hums to it. “ So I heard you talking about some party. What is it about?” Eli asks.

“ You forgot, Eli.” Ronan teases.

“ What did I forget?”

“ Tomorrow is a very special day for all of us. Because it's the day our princess arrived here.” I didn't know Ronan knew about my teleporting story, but if Daddy trusts him enough to tell him about it, then I think the secret is safe with him.

“ OH! I actually forgot about it. I can't believe it's almost a year now.” He nuzzles his nose with mine. “ It feels like just yesterday when she was crawling to my lap. My baby has grown.”

“ Yes. She has. And that's why I'm planning a grand party to let everyone know it's my princess’s…….arrival day?” He starts enthusiastically but ends up asking instead.

“ We can't use that word, Ronan. You know that. Besides, my baby doesn't like grand parties. It triggers her sensitive brain when too many people are around her and multiple things are happening at the same time. And since this event is going to involve her, it will surely exhaust her. I don't think she will like it.” I nod at my Eli. He always knows what I need.

“ Okayyy. I was trying to do something fun. You guys are making my berry, just like your own personality. Boring.”

If only Ronan knows how much drama we have endured this month, he won't be saying these words. I would choose to live a boring life for a few more days than to have an encounter with another episode.

“ So, did you plan anything for my Princess’s birthday?” Zed asks, entering the dining area. He pecks my forehead and starts to prepare some tea.

“ No. Eli called it off.”

“ What? Why?”

“ First of all, didn't you see her in the morning, Zed? She is not in the right state to entertain a number of people. Second, a birthday? We all know it's not her birthday.”

“ I know. But it is kind of her birthday. She started her new life here with us, so why can't we declare it as her birthday?” He has a point there, but I don't have the energy to open my mouth, so I keep it shut instead and lean against Eli's chest.

“ I get it. But she is not ready for a party right now. She is still healing and….”

“ It doesn't have to be a big event. Just a smaller one. I want to do something for her, to make her feel special. Please, Eli.” Zed pleads, making Eli sigh in frustration.

“ I don't know. Ask Alerix.” Zed beams at Eli, excited. I just hope Daddy says no to him. But knowing Zed, I know he will use me as Daddy’s soft spot to make him relent.

“ Do you want this berry?” Ronan asks seriously. I so badly want to say no, but when I look at Zed's hopeful eyes, I can't help but shrug at him.

I really need to learn how to say no.
