after nearly an 11 hour flight alicia landed in spain. walking off of the plane, she inhaled allowing the smell of home to pass through her senses before an impatient passenger brushed past her.
thalia and maria were picking her up from the airport as nico was busy. she was so excited to see the two. their parents didnt allow them to visit, which is justified as it is 9 hours away.
after going through passport control and baggage claim alicia sat herself in the nearby seating area awaiting thalia and maria, who were known for being late.
"licia!! licia!! wake up??" thalia screamed while shaking the girls sides. "seriously you can fall asleep anywhere" maria claimed before pulling her into a hug.
"you guys tookforever" alicia complained as she pushed her glasses tighter on her face. "lo siento [ sorry ] there was heaps of traffic" thalia explained while the three walked toward the car.
the car journey to nicos was eventful, three girls, one hour and two years to catch up on. they had facetimed atleast once a fortnight but it was immensly difficult due to the time diffrence.
it was shocking how none of them had changed yet they had all grown in diffrent ways. thalia dreamed of being a sports ambassador, as nico had promised to put a good word in, whereas maria wanted to travel the whole world.

waving the twins goodbye she searched underneath the designated plant pot that surrounded his personalised mat that mum bought him when he moved out.
nico moved out just before she left for brazil, for his own personal independace. it was a small apartment with two bedrooms and a complimentary balcony where she would be staying.
tip toeing quietly through the door, she passed the bathroom and headed for the guest bedroom. nico had already made the bed for her, leaving towels and a bottle of water.
as much as she strived to be productive she knew it would be an early start tomorrow morning so kicking her crocs off, she got changed and headed straight for bed.
