LAMINES POV

"Did she just.." Alejandro sat up. From his slumped position on the bed, shocked. Alicia had been on the phone but it was cut short as they were both tired. Before ending the phone call Alicia said some words, three words that can be the make or break of a relationship but that was down to Lamine to decide. "No..no" Lamine chuckled nervously as if he was trying to get himself to believe that. He knew he was feeling the same way, he had loved her ever since she accompanied him at Nicos presentation six years ago but actually saying it to one another, was a different story.

Saying goodnight to Alejandro, Lamine turned over in his bed to face the wall, just like Alicia would. His mind raced, the last person he had told he loved it all fell to pieces but for good reason anyway. His mind wandered to memories of Alex and how different the two were. Everything with Alicia was a breeze, Alex made everything tough. He always questioned if she really did love him or was it all an act, so she could say to people in the future she had dated Lamine Yamal.

Opening his eyes in an attempt to forget the memories of his past and focus on the present he was hit with an overwhelming feeling. It was like she consumed him, as he felt the bracelet that sat on his wrist he heard her laugh. His jersey reminded him of that little bet that had when they were first expressing interest in each other and even his hair products that she had suggested for him to use.

Alejandro could practically feel him over thinking, his thoughts were almost sprawled all over the room. He knew how he felt, having to adjust to telling someone you love them especially when you meant it. But when someone is making you happy, making you feel seen and heard i love you is just a word that comes naturally, like it has with Alicia. He doubted in his mind if she meant to say it, the whole situation happened so fast and it was one of the things she always said to everyone.

"You said what!?" Thalia gasped, it was early of the next day and Alicia thought she would call Thalia while she drove to work. It was like a little tradition to always give Thalia some company while driving. Alicia cringed at the re tell of the story, Maria gasping loudly once she was added to the call. The two twins were very different, Maria was a softie but Thalia was more of a realistic girl.

"Awh that is so cute!" Maria exclaimed, you could hear her small claps from over the phone but Thalia stayed quiet. They were both good at advice but Thalia just had a way with words that would help Alicia see through the rose tinted glasses she often wore. "T? what you thinking?" Alicia questioned. She didn't want her approval but she didn't not want her approval. Thalia needed to be honest and speak her mind on the situation.

"Alicia you have loved that boy ever since you set your eyes on him" Thalia explained, it shocked the two other girls who expected her to have a more harsher reaction but being in a situationship herself had made Thalia much more open to things. It was true, Alicia had liked Lamine for a while but what scared her was the fact that he didn't reply. She hadn't really gave him a chance to anyway with hanging up the phone that quickly but he could've called her back? or was that asking for too much.

"But its..its more difficult than that" Alicia admitted. How could she truly know what love was if she had never felt it before. How could she possibly know that he felt the same way back. They hadnt spoken since last night but he was playing today. After every game she would call him whilst he got his stuff together in the changing rooms but could she even do that after the way their conversation was left. "Its not Lici! stop overthinking" Maria assured. It was different for her, Ale and Maria had done things so naturally whereas Lamine and Alicia had hurt other people during the process of them being together but at the end of the day, what could she really do.
