there she sat in her desk chair as maria and thalia argued over who was doing her hair and who was doing her makeup, it was the night she looked forward too. her birthday party.

she had invited some friends from school, social media friends and nico had invited most of barca as it would be a good chance for him to get to know the few he wasnt fond with.

hector had been extremely distant with alicia since barca vs monaco, despite alicia watching him from the stands.

she wondered why and hoped he hadnt noticed anything as she and lamine were trying to be friends but deep down she knew what she was doing was wrong, especially after her conversation with thalia at the game.

despite all these worries she put it all to the back of her mind and was preparing for her party.
it was at the bottom of their apartment complex where they had a large function room with a bar, meaning if she got too drunk she could just head up to her bedroom and disappear.

nico had managed to get it at a reasonably low price also by agreeing to meet the landlords children and give them signed barca tees.

the theme was black, gold and silver every body had to be wearing it allowing alicia to stand out in whatever outfit she had chose.

'girls..how long does it take to get ready' nico asked slightly opening alicias bedroom door and poling his head around.
'get out!' the twins shouted towards the boy who was now backing out if the room with his hands held up in defense.

after around an hour everyone was ready, the girls outfits were all color coordinated to fit the theme as they stood by the door awaiting the go ahead from nico who was checking some last minute touches downstairs.

after recieving the text that it was all okay, the girls guided alicia down the flights of stairs as she was afraid of lifts towards the lobby and outside the door.

her heart thumped out of her chest while her eyes were being lightly covered by maria who didnt want to mess up her makeup.

'estas listo?'
[ you ready? ] maria asked as she could see her friend visibly worried.
'estoy lista'
[ im ready ] alicia whispered assuring her friend she was okay before thalia opened the two doors to reveal the room and the guests.

'feliz cumpleanos!!' the guests cheered holding mini confetti cannons in their hands.

she noticed hector and lamine standing proudly next to one another, watching as she gasped at all the fuss being made at her.

lamine wore an oversized white knitted sweater with large ripped jeans and his signature christian dior sneakers.
hectore wore an all white set that had the tshirt open showcasing her abs.

she then greeted and said her hellos to everyone who came, thanking them for dressing according to the dress code too.
the person she was most thankful for was nico, he had organised the whole party and she loved all the small details like the photobooth she had always wanted and the cardboard cut outs of her face for people to pose with.

he had been through alot lately with dad not being their for his new milestone and winning the euros but he still put on a brave face for his little sister.

hector however was seen at the start of the night but was acting very distant with alicia, they had exchanged a few smiles at one another but hadnt had a conversation yet.

'just go and talk to him' thalia said while nudging alicias shoulder lightly once she realised who she had been watching.
'and say what?' she questioned. she hadnt made a full decision on who to choose yet but thalia assured her she would be able to feel it during their conversation.
