Lamine had dropped a bomb on her yet again, asking her to accompany him to Paris for the Ballon D'or ceremony he was hopefully being rewarded at. She tried her hardest to say no, her bed at home was practically calling out her name but she just couldnt. Before she knew it she was sitting in the window of a plane watching the lights of Madrid pass her by from below while listening to Sohaib hum along to his tunes. Things had been different between the two, it was so hard being infront of the others when they constantly felt the need to kiss, to touch but the group managing to always put a stop to it. A part of her was nervous, they would be pictured together professionally for the first time. The people would know, everyone and it was lowkey kind of scary. There was something else looming in her brain. Lamines father. As a kid the boy was closer to his mother and thats mainly how they know each other so well as Alicia was close to Sheila herself. His dad was present, a good one at that but they had only met a few times. She had met him a few times, last one being at the Euros game when he was with another girl. She didnt want to seem like a rebound, a girl just to get him back on his feet and into his prime but she was so much more than that, atleast thats how he made her feel.

"Can i put a pause on your deep thought for a second.." Sohaib asked, pulling his headphones off of as the plane came to a stop. Sohaib was probably the only person who knew Alicia as well as Lamine did. Football was never his dream, he enjoyed it but not as much for a career. It was always Lamines dream and he didnt want to keep him from that. Fortunately for him that meant spending most of his time with Alicia while she always supported her older brother in his endeavours. Thats how he knew her so well, the pair had been practically forced to be friends. "Like you know what thinking is" Alicia joked, nudging his shoulder before he reached and grabbed her duffle bag from the heightened compartments. He let her walk in front of him, knowing Lamine would kill him if anything ever happened to her while she was with him. "Seriously Alicia, Hes fine" Sohaib laughed, helping her wheel her cases before they found a seat to perch themselves on and wait for Lamines family to pick them up. "What do you mean-" Alicia began before being cut off by Sohaibs minimal laughter as he assured he knew exactly what she was thinking about.

"Lamine loves you, We love you, He will love you" Sohaib explained, ruffling her hair as she tried to fight him off. It was moments like this she realised Sohaib was actually was able to be sentimental. The way he could balance being the funny friend and the most sensitive one too. She understood why Leilamliked him, who wouldnt. "I dont know what you're talking about" Alicia defended, crossing her arms in place before Sohaib gave up with the conversation entirely and taking the time to reply to some missed messages from Leila. Alicia smiled towards herself. He had given her the words of encouragement that the girls couldnt give as they were miles away by now. The two friends shared light conversation and laughed at the one random person who recognised the boy and asked him for photo. They were the closest people in Lamines life, he would pay all the money in the world if it meant they could travel with him and really who was rejecting the free flight.

Just as she was about to drift off on Sohaibs shoulder, a loud shriek of Kenye who came crashing into the girls legs. "Lici lici!" The little boy mumbled before she lumbered him into her arms. He was such a littke character, getting half his personality from Lamine. She was slightly worried about how her boyfriend would influence him, no one needs an ego that big. Sohaib walked off infront with the baby boy as Alicia and Lamines mum kept behind as they had a lot to catch up on. Sheila hadnt expected to see her here but she also knew how much the boy loved her. "Como estas?" [ how are you ? ] The woman asked, clinging onto the inside of her arm as they bustled their way through the crowds of the Paris airport. "Muy bien etu?" [ very good you ? ] The girl asked, warming up at the familiar tone in her voice as they conversed about the recent things that had happened in both their lives. "How did it go the other night?" The woman asked, intruigued to how the girl would answer. She knew how much Lamine loved amd cared for her but sometimes expressing that was difficult for him. "It went..well" Alicia giggled. She was trying to keep her ideas as niche as possible as she probably didnt want those details. Everytime Alicia thought of that night, her heart skipped a couple beats. It had gone from being a storm of emotions to a finally, somewhat calm. The feeling of being in love. Approaching the car she came to Mo, Lamines cousin. Alicia knew him quite well and while in Barcelona he was like the groups personal chauffeur. "Mo" Alicia nodded towards the boy before throwing her cases in the back seat and cramming next to Sohaib and Keyne in the back of the car.
