The topic of Jobe had finally been dismissed, She glanced over at him a few times with an awkward smile but that was about it. She knew how older siblings could be, annoying and not resting so she knew that he probably hadn't ever had feelings for her, just attraction.
Their hearts were beating out of their bodies. Who knew a football game could be full of so much anticipation. El Classico came around maybe once or twice a year, a competition to see who would be number one until the next game. Many were in favour for Real to win it with them having the likes of Mbappe on their team but after an intense first half the chances of that were weighing thin. When the whistle blew for half time after three minutes of added time, Alicia and rest of them leant over the sides to watch the boys jog back down the tunnel. Nico looked so tired, he with some others had been trying to keep up with Real' defense but was finding it somewhat difficult. Half time had come at a great time. Alejandro was the first they saw, he blew a kiss towards Maria and her reaction was honestly the cutest. The Madrid boys didnt waste any time in heading back inside, they probably felt deflated after the poor performance but Jude had lingered around to speak to Jobe for a few moments who was just on the other side. Lamine was taking some constructive criticsm from coach as he always felt he could do better before making his way towards the tunnel. Alicia and Sohaib were leant over the edge, waiting for him to appear and when he did she gave him a proud smile which he replied with his usual wink. His eyes drifted to the left, seeing Jude shout up at his little brother but he thought nothing of it. The Bellinghams opposed no competition whats so ever.
Returning back to her seat with a relieved sigh she was hounded with questions from the girls who needed a firm analysation of his actions. "You think he noticed?" Leila asked. His head had been majorly in the game for the first half and he had only looked up at them a few times but Jude elongating his conversation between Toby and Jobe couldve added some fuel to the fire. "I dont know" Alicia laughed, the whole situation was something that could only had happened to her but knowing Lamine and how his personality was he wouldnt rest now until he had scored a goal past Madrid and embarassed them both. "Stop worrying" Sohaib randomly said, interrupting the million questions Alicia was being asked. For someone who didnt know what was going on forty minutes ago he mustve been listening very intently to the girls conversations. "Just chill.." Sohaib reiterated, it was beginning to annoy him how much the girls were over thinking every interaction Lamine and Alicia had shared especially when he knew how his boy was.
Soon enough the teams came back out for a few warm up drills before the start of the second half. Lamines head was fully in the game and all he did was give them a confirmative smile to say he was okay while Alejandro snuck over to greet the others. "That is not the shirt he left for you" The boy laughed after making small talk with his girlfriend. Alicia pulled the shirt away from her body slightly, it looked more like a Madrid shirt than a Barca one by that was beaides the point, it was vintage. Lamine should know Alicia enough by now to realise shes not one to get told what to do. "Is he okay?" The girl questioned, watching him from afar as he messed around with Raphina to ease the tension. "Apart from Jude being..Jude, hes fine" Alejandro explained but had to quickly run when Pedri hollered for him to come back over. His words played on replay around her head. Jude being Jude? How could they even understand each other if Jude mainly spoke english anyway. It would be weird for them to start acting like arch rivals being this is the first time they had even met since the Euros.
Alicia sat with her legs crossed, her left shaking with nerve as the whistle for the second half was blown. There was a lot resting on this game, neither teams would let each other live it down for the next year and she would much prefer the jokes go to Madrid instead of the Barcelona boys as they worked so hard. Within the first ten minutes there were two goals, both minutes apart from Lewandolski. He was a pure legend at the game and had put a spur of energy in all of the Culers. Alicia had noticed a few pushes and shoves between Lamine and the boys from the other side but she hoped it was all just friendly banter. Watching Lamine and Raphina work together on the pitch was magic, they bounced each other so well and Raphi catered to his beautiful goal. The group all leapt out of their seats in screams of joy as they watched Lamine celebrate from the opposite side of the court. He loved to cause problems and dancing away in front of the die hard Madrid fans was probably not a great idea yet him and Ale did it happily.
