"cheer up hermana" maria said while tilting alicias chin up towards the reflection of herself in the mirror.
she had spaced out intertwined in her thoughts.

it had been a long week for alicia, dealing with her unexpected friendship breakup with alex which brought mounds of hate from her superfans and the thought of having to be in close proximity with her tonight was making her feel on edge.

"im okay" she explained as her mouth broke into a small smile at the visible care maria had for her.

she was grateful hector invited her friends too because if she was left with nico he wouldnt be much company, this way she could have a chill night with her girls.

"so what we drinking tonight chicas?" thalia asked as she walked in with rollers sitting in her hair.

one thing about thalia and maria, theyre always there for alicia no matter how big or small the situation is.

"nothing for me" alicia spoke intaking a deep breath causing a negative reaction from the twins.

she explained that if she drank tonight, she would just be a mess so it would be better for everyone if she stayed sober.

"your this down bad for mini?? tuh" thalia laughed as she began to remove the rollers from her hair before recieving a stern look from her sister.

lamine had been blocked from alicias mind the past couple days. he hadnt made any effort with her and it was disappointing as she thought they were reaching a friendship again.

they left their conversation up in the air last time they spoke and besides alicia was trying to shift her focus towards hector.

they didnt know what they were but it was clear the two were intrested in one another. after leaving greece early he was off to the states, which he hated the ides of, for a few club friendlies.

he was cute, always made an effort to call and text alicia whenever she was free, staying up till absurd times to do so.

what made things easier was the fact that nico somehow approved of the two, after timelessly warning her the whole team was 'off limits' but luckily hector hadnt played for spain in awhile.

she couldnt deny she was happy to be seeing him but the cons outweighed the pros. all she had to hope was that alex nor lamine hadnt been invited.

who was she kidding.

although once her hair and makeup had been done ,with the help of maria, she could finally feel her spirits lifting.
if the night was going to take a turn atleast she looked good while it did.

walking through the streets of barca was an inexplainable feeling, it just felt like home. the empty resturaunts and slightly filling up bars just reminded her of countless memories with the girls.

it reminded alicia of how small her problems are compared to others.
instead of focusing on the good, the people she was surrounded with and they loved she received every single day from family and friends.

she often found herself focusing on what she viewed as 'bad' really stepped back and look at the severity of the situation it is never that deep.
