sitting herself on the steps that lead out to the outside seating area, alicia let out a tired sigh.

she didnt want to cause a scene, or say the wrong thing so the best thing for now was to just remove herself from the equation.

it was hard for her watching lamine and alex be a happy couple knowing she really wished that was her.

sitting, knees close to her chest facing the deck she watched the nearby couples and family who seemed so secure enviously before hearing somebody walk out of the bathrooms, lamine.

"hm" she simply replied with knowing she wasnt getting the truth out of him.

"leave you alone?" she replied confused.
"si lici...por favor" he finished with before walking back towards the table, in which she shortly followed.

the remainder of the meal was awkward for her but it was her eagerness that placed her here.
she believed that she had read too much into things with his small outburst earlier and he was probably just having a bad day.

she watched as him and alex exchanged small
jokes gaining laughter from the two and suddenly realised, that nothing could/would break up the two.

they were solid and everyone could see that.

nico could sense something was wrong with his sister but got lightly dismissed each time he asked.

alex, still clueless to her new found friends strong feelings towards her boyfriend attempted to include alicia in everything she done.

she was a cool roomate regardless, some nights were spent gossiping, whereas others were spent snacking on food while binging various shows.

tonight wasnt like this, as soon as the group returned to the villa alex went straight to lamines room, coming back just as alicia was falling asleep.

alicia craved someone to talk too, but her nearest friend was over three hours away, meaning she had to resort to online communication.

she left the bedroom to sit on the stools that sat on the large breakfast island as no one else sould be awake at that time.

once again alicia found herself, surrounded by darkness staring into nothing.

she chuckled lightly at her messages with maria wishing nothing more than to be in their apartment tonight.

the only light she was receiving was that from her phone as she scrolled aimlessly on her instagram feed.

after a few moments, her head began to drop slightly meaning she was going to fall asleep any moment which was further proved by a yawn.

"oh mi" lamine exclaimed shocked, the boy had walked into the kitchen in nothing but grey sweatpants, catching the same yawn as alicia had.

she decided that ignoring him was the best solution, if he wanted space from the little communication they share anyway, she was willing to do that.

"porque estas despierto" he asked, grabbing a cup from the cupboard to fill it with water.
"couldnt sleep" she replied effortlessly.

"neither its so hot-" the boy began as he leaned both elbows onto the counter inches away from her face.
"que estas haciendo?" she asked frustratedly, he asked her just hours ago to leave him alone and now he was making conversation with her.

"what am i doing? que? what do you mean" he asked confusingly.
"tu me preguntaste to leave you alone" she said causing his whole body language to change.
he now hand both of his hands sprawled across the counter as he held himself up.

"lici..por favor ahora no" he asked.
"no ahora si" she lightly pleaded.

"why?" she asked not allowing him to deflect the conversation.
"por que que?" he questioned.

"why did u ask me to leave you alone? i mean dios lamine we dont even interact-" she began explaining.
"porque" he said, slightly raising his voice to over power her.

"because what?" she implored further.
"no puedo dejarte alobe alicia"

he rushed before taking one last sip of his water and walking out of the room.

leaving the girl speechless in the dark.
