Alba's POV
As the morning light gently filled the room, you slowly woke up and noticed Jimin, still fast asleep, facing the other side. Even though he was a grown man, there was something undeniably cute and peaceful about the way he slept. You took a moment to admire him before carefully getting out of bed, trying not to wake him.
You headed to the bathroom, grateful for a bit of alone time to freshen up. The bathroom was big and modern, with a large mirror, a separate shower and bathtub, and two sinks. It felt like a little escape, a place where you could gather your thoughts away from everything else.
You splashed some cold water on your face, hoping it would wash away the confusion that had been brewing inside you.
Once you felt somewhat collected, you made your way to the kitchen, your throat dry. The kitchen was just as impressive, with sleek granite countertops and top-of-the-line appliances. You poured yourself a glass of water from the fridge, eyeing the neatly arranged food and drinks inside. The luxury of it all was slightly overwhelming, but you pushed that thought aside.
You wanted to do something nice for Jimin, to show your appreciation for his kindness last night. Cooking breakfast seemed like a perfect gesture. You decided on something basic—eggs, bacon, and pancakes. You pulled your hair into a messy bun and got to work, finding comfort in the familiar routine. The smell of bacon sizzling and pancakes cooking soon filled the air, creating a cozy atmosphere that momentarily eased the unease in your chest.
But just as you were finishing up, the keypad at the front door buzzed. You quickly washed your hands, unsure of who might be coming in. Maybe Taehyung had come to check on Jimin. You straightened up the kitchen quickly and walked towards the living room.
The last person you expected to see was Jungkook, standing by the door with two cups of coffee. The sight of him made your breath catch in your throat. He looked different from the last night you saw him—tense, angry even. His eyes were hard, and you could feel the tension rolling off him in waves.
"Jungkook," you managed to say. "What are you doing here?"
His response was sharp, cutting through the air. "Seriously, Alba? You're unbelievable." There was a coldness in his voice that sent a shiver down your spine. He stepped into the living room, setting the coffee cups down with more force than necessary. His expression was a mixture of irritation and something else you couldn't quite place.
"I have seriously never seen a girl with no self-respect." he spat, his words stinging like a slap. "You have no self-respect. I can't believe you'd spend the night here with Jimin."
The accusation in his voice was like a punch to the gut. You tried to speak, to defend yourself, but the words caught in your throat. What could you even say? His anger was palpable, filling the room with an oppressive heat as he stepped closer.
"He was drunk." Jungkook continued, his voice low and cold. "He didn't know what he was doing. And yet, you still stayed here with him."
You instinctively took a step back as he advanced, your heart pounding in your chest. His anger was terrifying, and you couldn't understand why he was reacting this way. What had you done to make him so furious?
"What do you want? Money?" he suddenly yelled, his voice rising in volume. The accusation was so unexpected, so out of left field, that it left you stunned. He took another step towards you, and you could see the fury in his eyes. "I can give you money. Is that what you're after? Huh?"
"Jungkook, no—" you started, but he cut you off, his voice growing louder, more intense.
"You already had me, and now you have Jimin." he shouted, his voice thick with jealousy and frustration. "And now you want money on top of that, huh?"
