Alba's POV

You sighed, reaching for your concealer again. You weren't about to let him control every inch of your appearance. As much as his possessive streak had stirred something within you, you had your own boundaries, and showing up at work with a glaring hickey wasn't part of today's plan. Jungkook might think he could dictate what you wore or how you looked, but today, you were going to have the final say.

The concealer did its job, but just to be sure, you opted for the high-neck blouse with lantern sleeves, hanging in your closet. A deep, forest green, the color brought out the warmth in your complexion. Satisfied with your reflection, you smoothed your hair, already anticipating the moment you'd see him again. The way his teasing texts had lingered in your mind told you this was far from over.

Just as you clipped the final button of your blouse, you heard the familiar sound of a car idling outside, followed by a horn. You peeked through the window and, sure enough, there he was. Grabbing your bag, you hurried to the door, stepping out into the drizzle.

Taehyung waved as you approached, his usual easy-going smile lighting up his face. "Good morning, Alba," he greeted as you slid into the passenger seat. His warm brown eyes flickered briefly to your neck, the briefest hint of a frown crossing his features. "You're covering up a lot today. Cold?"

You smiled. "Something like that," you replied, doing your best to keep your tone casual.

He raised an eyebrow, his curiosity evident. He was always sharp, and it was impossible to hide much from him. But he didn't press the issue, instead turning his attention back to the road as he pulled out into traffic.

"Well, you're not fooling me, but I'll let it slide for now," he teased lightly, his eyes glinting with amusement.

You let out a small laugh, grateful he didn't push further.

He nodded. "Well, just so you know," his tone took on a playful edge, "I already have my suspicions."

Your stomach dropped slightly, and you tried to maintain your composure. "Suspicions? About what?"

He smirked, his eyes briefly flicking to the rearview mirror. "Oh, just a certain someone who's been occupying your time lately," he said nonchalantly, his voice tinged with a knowing tone. "I mean, you don't get hickeys from brainstorming sessions."

You nearly choked on your breath, your hand instinctively flying to your neck. "I thought you said you weren't going to press," you muttered, embarrassment creeping into your voice.

"I didn't press. I simply observed," he corrected, his smirk widening. "So... Jungkook, huh?"

You groaned, sinking back into your seat. "How do you always know everything?"

He laughed, the sound filling the car with warmth. "I've known him... and you long enough to pick up on the signs. Plus, it's not like you're subtle." His voice softened, losing some of its teasing edge. "But seriously, Alba.... You know how intense Jungkook can be."

You sighed, nodding. "I know," you admitted softly. "But I can handle it."

He didn't look entirely convinced, but he didn't push the matter further. Instead, he turned the conversation to lighter topics, making small talk about work and some upcoming projects. You appreciated the distraction.

As you arrived at the office, He parked the car and gave you a meaningful glance. "Just promise me one thing."

You raised an eyebrow. "What's that?"

"Don't let him get too much under your skin. You know how easily you can lose yourself when you care too much about someone."

His voice was gentle, but his words hit close, you knew whom he was referring to. You swallowed, giving him a small nod. With that, you both stepped out of the car, the drizzle still falling lightly around you. He walked beside you toward the entrance of the building, offering his usual comforting presence.
