Alba's POV
You woke up nestled in Jungkook's arms, his steady breath brushing against the back of your neck. . The warmth of his body pressed against you was comforting, and for a moment, you let yourself savor the quietness, the calm. You were nestled into his side, his chest rising and falling in a peaceful, unhurried rhythm. Your mind wandered back to the night before, the events playing over in your head.
Last night had been... different. You shifted slightly, careful not to wake him as you let the memories wash over you. After you'd gotten to his house, you had felt nervous. His new place was bigger than last one, yet somehow still cozy, filled with his energy.
You'd talked more, about everything and nothing. You remembered teasing him about the massive bed, and how he'd grinned at you like the cocky jerk he was, pretending it was all part of his grand plan to seduce you. But what stood out more was how, when you were nervous about spending the night, he hadn't pushed. He'd just... been there for you, reassuring and calm. It wasn't like you had expected any pressure from him, but the easy way he handled everything put you at ease in ways you didn't even realize you needed.
After the playful banter, you remember him disappearing into his closet, emerging with an oversized t-shirt and some shorts. He'd held them out with a playful grin.
"You're probably not used to wearing anything this fashionable, but I'll allow it just this once."
You had rolled your eyes, unable to stop the smile that followed.
"Fashionable? Please. This is amateur hour," you'd joked, taking the clothes from him without a second thought.
A simple oversized t-shirt and sweatpants, but as soon as you slipped into them, the fabric soft against your skin, his scent clinging to the cotton, something about the moment felt incredibly intimate. More intimate than you'd expected.
When you walked back downstairs, towel-drying your hair, he was in the kitchen, he also had taken a shower, and making hot chocolate like it was the most normal thing in the world. His back was turned to you. The sight of him, relaxed and humming quietly to himself, made you stop for a moment. It was so... domestic. Not at all what you would have expected from the Jungkook you thought you knew, the one who always seemed to push your buttons, who had this infuriating way of getting under your skin.
"You good?" he had asked over his shoulder, catching you watching him.
"Yeah," you'd said, feeling a little embarrassed at being caught staring.
"Thought you might like this," he'd said, handing you one of the mugs. His eyes had been soft, warm, and without any of the cocky teasing you were used to. "You looked like you needed something to take the edge off."
You'd sat on the couch, sipping your drinks, the steam rising between you as the night deepened. The conversation had turned softer then, more relaxed. Jungkook wasn't the cocky, teasing guy you'd grown used to. Instead, he was thoughtful, attentive, his eyes always on you as you talked about life, work, and for the first time, you had felt a layer of the defenses you'd built around yourself begin to crumble.
Eventually, the conversation had slowed, and the silence between you had stretched into something comfortable. He had reached out, pulling you closer to him as if it were the most natural thing in the world
"Is this okay?" he'd murmured, his voice low, almost hesitant.
You'd nodded, leaning into him, resting your head against his chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart.
