Lando took me to Vietnam on 6th January. We were going to go cave exploring. I was more worried about the fact that I wouldn't be able to use my phone.

"Lando, I'm gonna lose my snap streaks!!!!" I said

"Don't worry, darling. You'll survive without your phone for a little while. Besides, we're here to have an adventure and make memories that will last longer than any snap streak"

"but I've got like 300 day streaks on there!!!"

"Okay, okay. I get it. But trust me, you'll have fun exploring the caves and spending time with your friends. Plus, I'm sure we can take some pictures to commemorate the trip"

"I'm literally not gonna survive without my phone. you might as well shove us on that bloody I'm a celebrity get me out of here show where they shove and bunch of celebrities in the fucking jungle for like 3 weeks"

"I'm sure that can be arranged" he said with a small laugh. We went into the cave and it was actually quite nice. He pulled me to the side and started speaking. "Lexi, I've known you since we were 3 years old and you've made my life better since then. You've made me insanely happy and I honestly couldn't thank you more. I think it's kinda crazy how fate brought us back together on tinder after 17 years of being apart but I'm so glad fate did. These have honestly been the best 6 months with you and I can't wait for us to spend the rest of our lives together. I made tons of promises to your promise ring and one of those promises was for us to get married so here I am. Alexa Jade Norman, will you marry me?" He said as he got on one knee while holding up the ring. I couldn't believe it. Was it too early? Nah. I nodded and he took the ring out of the box but then dropped it into a crack in the cave.

"Oh my god..."

"Dammit, Lexi! I dropped the ring!!!!" He said while trying to reach in the crack but his fat fingers weren't getting in there

"I can't get it either!!! fuck!!!" I said while trying to get it. Lando found a stick and tried to pick it up but it just went down even further. "Lan... I think the ring is gone..."

"We have to try!!!! I'm not giving up on you, Lexi!!!" He said with tears in his eyes

"you're not giving up on me all because you dropped my ring down a crack" I said. He sat down on the floor with his legs spread and his hands in between his legs with tears falling down his face

"Lexi, it's not just about the ring. It's about us. I want this to be perfect for you, and I can't stand the thought of losing you over something as silly as a piece of metal" he said while sniffling in between some words. I sat in front of him and wiped his tears

"you're not gonna lose me. I'm not breaking up with you, baby. just breathe"

"I'm just... I'm worried I messed everything up"

"you didn't mess it up. look, if you really want we can keep trying but I don't think that ring made much of a dent in your bank account with how much money you have so you could just buy another one and propose to me again"

"You're right, Lexi. I'm sorry for being such a mess about it. I just wanted this to be perfect for you" he said while wiping his tears

"anything is perfect when it's with you"

We gave up on the ring. It's still probably in that crack to this day. The week after we went to Finland to go skiing and he proposed again with a new ring

"Lexi, my love... I know we tried before, but I want to ask you again. Will you marry me?" He said. I let out a small laugh and smiled

"Of course I will, Lan" I said before he accidentally dropped it in the snow. "Oh my god, not again"

"Not again!!!! Please Lexi, help me get it back!!!" He said while digging like crazy. I found it within a couple seconds and put it on my left ring finger

"You are banned from holding this ring from now on" I said with a laugh

"Yeah, that makes sense. I love you so much, Alexa"

"I love you more, Lando"
