Nothing to blame ~ Wriothesley x Reader

Doctors orders

There she was, the head nurse of the fortress. She had a bright smile on her face as she skipped through the halls of the fortress. She had some weird kind of milkshake in her hand. The inmates didn't pay any attention to her since she always brings those milkshakes to the duke's office. It was about 12:00pm in the noon, of course some inmates cannot tell the time in the fortress. Since it's always dark down there.

Once she finally reached her destination, her grin grew wider. "This will be fun." She mumbled to herself as she knocked on the duke's door. As she heard an answer from the other side, she quickly opened the door.

Wriothesley knew who it was by hearing her little heals clack on the metal stairs. "What brings you here today, head nurse?" Wriothesley asked as he read through some papers. "You seem quite busy today, your grace." Sigewinne noticed all of his papers on his desk. "Sigewinne, get to the point please." Wriothesley said inpatiently, since he had a lot to do.

He had quite a bit of work to catch up on, since he kept going up the surface. Sigewinne saw right through him. "Your Grace.. I was wondering if I could go up to the surface a few days from now." Sigewinne placed her milkshake on his desk.

"Oh? Is there something sort of special occasion?" Wriothesley put his papers aside so he could listen to Sigewinne's reason for leaving the fortress. "A magic show will be taking place in the Opera Epiclese. I would like to go see it, your grace." Sigewinne put up an act of her really wanting to go. "Sigewinne.. could you tell me since when you're interested in such things?" Wriothesley raised suspicion about her reasoning.

"Ottnit has told me stuff about it. I thought it would be nice to experience something new." Sigewinne has planned everything. She knew exactly what he would say. "Fine.. you can go take that day off." Everything was going according to plan. Now comes the next phase of Sigewinne's little plan.

"Your grace you seem quite tense.. why don't you take a day off as well? We could go watch the magic show together!" Sigewinne suggested. Wriothesley sighed and pinched his nose bridge "Sigewinne I don't think I have any time at the moment.. I have quite a lot of things to do."

"As your personal doctor, I order you to relax a bit. If you don't take your doctors orders, there will be consequences." Sigewinne tried to threaten him in a ironic manner. Wriothesley grinned slightly at her attempting to force him to come with her. "Okay fine, if it makes you happy." Wriothesley said as he stood up from his chair. He gave her a little pat on her head "It's about lunch time, let's get lunch together, since you're just here."

Sigewinne nodded at him and followed him out the door. Sigewinne couldn't help but smile from ear to ear. She was so happy that her mission was a success. Who knew what would've happened if he'd refuse her.

As they both collected their welfare meal, they both sat down at a nearby table. "Sigewinne, you look to excited to eat your lunch." Wriothesley pointed out the obvious, with a grin on his face. He knew she wasn't excited about her lunch. "No it's not that.. I'm just a bit excited for the magic show that is coming up." Sigewinne said as an excuse.

But in reality she was just quite happy that her part was a success. She can't wait what Navia and Clorinde have in store for him.

"Navia.. relax, I'm sure everything is going according to plan." On the other side, Clorinde was trying to calm Navia down. Navia was overthinking everything, which wasn't good for her or Clorinde. Having a positive mindset was all Navia could need right now. "I'm going insane! I hope Sigewinne will inform us with good news." Navia was so close to pulling her own hair out. All she could do right now, was pray for success.
