"What's the news Agent 62." That same cold voice asked as Agent 62 phoned him "I got her." Agent 62 responded which surprised Agent 59 at first. "That quick? No wonder they call you the express agent." Agent 59 said with a slight chuckle.

"Well you did tell me his sacrifice wasn't for nothing." He explained. "He'll rest in peace once we get her to the laboratory." Agent 59 cold voice suddenly sounded slightly warmer.

"That's right.. let's meet at ███ and then we'll be able to discuss our future plans." Agent 62 explained. "Okay I'll be there earliest in 2 days. See ya then Agent 62.."

"Til then Agent 59."

As he hung up, Agent 62 heard that familiar buzzing again. He'll probably won't hear that annoying buzzing anymore once they bring you to the laboratory.

This will be a complete new start for them.

It's been more than 10 hours since Lucas last saw you. You left at 11:00am and it's now 9:00pm at Lucas's side. This wasn't like you, you would've came home at least 4 hours ago.

Before Lucas could overthink any further, he heard a knock on the door. He quickly opened the door, hoping it was you. But it wasn't.

"Lucas.. have you seen Y/N" Navia was fidgeting with her hands. Lucas shook his head. "She has left this morning but she didn't come back yet.." he explained as Navia walked into the house.

"I'm afraid that strange guy has done something to her." Navia was sweating in nervousness. Lucas turned pale at the thought. Could sweat ran down his back. "We should inform someone about this..." Lucas walked back and forth.

"We should commission the Adventures guild!" Navia suggested. "Or inform the gardes." Lucas said with his voice cracking out of anxiety.

"But it could also be she's on her way back and we're just overthinking about this." Navia rubbed her temples with her index fingers.

Lucas nodded at her words, but he had a gut feeling that you weren't safe. "If she isn't home by 7:00am tomorrow.. I'm afraid we'll have to inform them that she's missing." Lucas forewarned.

"Should I stay here for the night?" Navia asked, making Lucas smile in a saddening way "only if you want to Demoisielle." Lucas said with that same wobbly voice. He sounded like he was about to cry.

He was carrying so much guilt, knowing he failed as your so called 'bodyguard'. What if he came with you? Would've it ended up differently?

"Please I insist." Navia noticed how miserable he looked. She quickly took her heels off before walking over to him. She knew he needed a bit of company since you're now nowhere to be seen.

"I think I know who we should drag into this mess." An idea popped into Navia's head.

"You don't mean?" Lucas instantly knew who she was talking about.

"Yes, the Duke of the fortress of Meropide himself." Navia said confidently.

"Oh great heavens.." Lucas mumbled to himself at the thought of him.

...

"Demoisielle! Are you sure it's smart to visit him... at this time?" Lucas questioned her actions. The time was nearing 11:00pm.

"Oh shush.. I know the duke is awake at this time." Navia continued to storm towards the receptionist at the fortress.

"Ma'am is there something I can help you with... it's 11pm." The woman looked exhausted. Her eye bags were very visible. "It's an emergency, we have to see his grace!" Navia had a serious look on her face.
