Kraken

Go, go go! He urged himself, landing on the tough rock of the Underworld, and running. But how could he run from Death in her own world?

"He went this way!" A harsh voice hissed from behind him, and his blood ran cold.

RUN.

As he swept through a section full of boulders and dark red lighting, he could have sworn he'd seen a flash of blue and yellow, along with red and black. How many things were following him?

"You can't run forever, little one..." The voice hissed, seeming to echo everywhere so he didn't know where to run.

Watch me.

Belionta

"Belionta, look out!" Cranefly hissed, pushing the young hybrid behind a large stone.

"Hey-" She started, but he shook his head frantically, and pointed a claw towards the top of the rock. She peered over it and saw two absolutely HUGE dragons, which she could only assume were nightwings.

"Where'd he go?" The green tinted one snarled. Belionta could only assume 'him' was the blue form that had just sprinted past moments before.

"This way, sister." The purple tinted one growled, and the two ran past. Belionta looked over at Cranefly, who was quite literally looking like a statue. If even possible, it looked like his breathing had stopped for the whole thing.

"Cranefly!" Belionta whispered. "Creepy ghost stalker dragon!"

He jolted out of it as in a dream, looking up. "Time to go."

"Who were those two?" She ignored his decision, curious.

"Reapers." The word sent chills down Belionta's spine for reasons obvious.

"Please tell me that name isn't literal." She whispered.

"It is. Death sends them out if she wants a stealthy kill. Ever heard of someone dying suddenly in an act of misfortune? Not so much an act of clumsiness, more likely an act of these two. Highly skilled, killing machines. Purple one was Seeker, she's a tracker. And the other one was Lifetaker. She does this actual work." Cranefly shivered.

"What about that guy they were following?" Belionta asked, scared of the answer.

"Considering he's down here, a dragon not yet over his death. He's trying to find his way out, most likely."

"What will they do to him, I mean."

"Track him down, probably kill him again to put him in his place, the important thing is we need to get out of here." Cranefly gritted his teeth, moving out from behind the rock.

"We can't just leave him!" Belionta argued, shocked with the insinuation.

"Belionta, you don't understand. These two never fail. There is no possible way to save that guy. They probably already got him."

Belionta's decision was set. "I'm going to help him. With or without you." She attempted to move past him, but Cranefly blocked her way.

"You're only going to get yourself killed! They're vicious and will hurt anyone who gets in their way. That's why we hid."

"If I can help," She began, flying over him and landing behind him. "I'm going to."

"You can't help!"

"Why are you so insistent on this! I get they're dangerous, which is why I'm going to help this guy!"

"You can't win with them! Trust me, I have talons on experience!"

"How?! When did you have this so called experience with them?!"

Cranefly snapped. "Those dragons are the reason I'm DEAD!"
