IN CONGRATULATIONS FOR THE NEW DRAFTEES everyone had moved to the bar getting drink after drink in celebration of their teammates and friends.

"congratulations baby!" ada practically screamed so loud the whole bar stopped to see what the ruckus was about.

" seattle storm bagged a good one." ada winked as she tightened her arms around the girls torso. eyes almost teary as she looked at her friend who was now going to have to move even further from her.

"i know bouta be repping the green and yellow." nika cheered along with ada as she was now one more shot away from bawling her eyes out.

"just know i'm always gonna be your number 1 supporter." ada replied honestly, sharing one last hug with nika before she had to part ways to take more photos with the rest of the uconn girls.

"oh and ada caddel comes out with yet another beautiful dress." kate grinned, spinning the girl around playfully as she laughed at her remark.

"i always gotta have my A game on when it comes to after parties." ada shrugged simply.

"but let's talk about you ms las vegas aces. you know you owe me drinks and a dinner now right?" ada was basically jumping once she heard kate's name being called. so this was a very mild version of what was only moments ago.

"yes, and i'll happily take you to dinner. y'know for our first interviewing." kate winked as she nudged ada teasingly.

"sureee money martin." ada shook her head with a snicker.

"oh yeah, come meet my friends." kate ushered ada towards the small circle of friends who turned with big smiles on their faces at the sight of ada who stood comfortably beside kate.

"hey guys, this is ada, the journalist i told you about who's writing an article on me." the girls shared knowing looks between each other at the comment. if only ada knew just how much kate talked their ears off about her.

"caitlin, jada and gabbie." ada smiled sweetly as she pulled the three into a small hug.

"hi i'm ada. not sure if kate would've mentioned my name before."

"trust me, she's mentioned your name plenty of times before." caitlin exaggerated as she  emphasised her words through gritted teeth.

"yeah at this point i'm surprised when she doesn't mention you." jada chuckled along with the two girls at her sides who ushered in agreements.

"—okay great you guys got introduced! let's go get you that drink ada!" kate pushed the brunette away from her friends. audibly groaning at their teasing which she knew was coming.

"if you're in love with me just say that martin." ada joked as they took their seat beside the bar.

ada thought kate was very attractive but that didn't mean anything. it was more of a admiration considering they were working together now and it wouldn't be so professional of either of them.

and ada was certainly not over paige. in fact tonight only made her miss her even more. in every room she walked into it was as if her eyes would try to find her on instinct. and she would be lying if a small part of her got disappointed every time she would see paige too preoccupied. not that she was going to start a conversation with her anyways.
