December 23, Friday.
A car was steadily driving on the highway towards the airport. Inside, Hanni asked the person next to her uncertainly, "Do you really want to go?"
"En," This was the third time Hanni had asked. Minji, as always, nodded in reply.
"Why did you suddenly decide to come?" This was also a question Hanni had asked before, but Minji, this outwardly cold but deep and passionate person, refused to answer her.
"I just had some free time," Minji ambiguously replied.
"That's not the point." Hanni glanced at Minji's hands on the steering wheel.
Minji's knuckles were visibly tense and white, but her face was expressionless as usual. She didn't know how to answer Hanni, so she played dead.
The more Minji thought about it, the more aggrieved she felt. The car exited the highway into the airport, then stopped for a red light. She stepped on the brake, steadily stopping the vehicle, then asked, "Am I not allowed to go?"
It made Hanni feel like she was bullying an honest person. "Forget it. If you want to go, then you can go," she said, defeated.
Minji secretly glanced at Hanni, a smile in the corner of her mouth. The traffic lights turned green, and she pressed on the throttle to enter the airport parking lot. When she went to the trunk and took out only a backpack after Hanni's luggage.
Hanni couldn't help but raise a brow. "That's all you have?"
Minji's hand paused, but quickly resumed its movements. She calmly locked the car and started dragging Hanni's luggage. She intended to use her ultimate skill: act dumb.
So childish! "Have you bought your ticket?" Hanni asked the ridiculous person.
"Yes," Minji replied. She already bought her plane ticket, and she also sent her luggage ahead.
"Are you on the same flight as me?" After some thought, Hanni asked.
"En," Buying a ticket beforehand means that this is premeditated, premeditated. Minji must've felt so guilty when she confirmed her purchase.
Hanni finally couldn't contain her laughter. She didn't continue to question Minji again, and instead, she stepped forward and said, "Come on, Danielle and Jung Kook must be here already."
With a sigh of relief, Minji quickened her steps and caught up to Hanni. The two went up the escalator side by side.
At the airport gate, Danielle looked at her phone and said, "Hanni messaged me, saying that she's arrived. She should be here soon."
"Hm," A casually dressed Jung Kook nodded and looked towards the escalators.
"Hanni also said that Minji was coming with her." Danielle carefully observed Jung Kook's expression as she said this.
"Oh, really?" Jung Kook was obviously stunned, but quickly tried to act casual.
"Probably because it's Christmas," Danielle explained. "After all, this is their first holiday after their marriage. Minji will want to be with Hanni."
"I know." Jung Kook's face reverted back into a much more natural expression.
Danielle raised a brow, but ultimately didn't say anything, instead choosing to quietly wait for the newlywed couple.
"Danielle." Ten meters away from the gate, Hanni spotted Danielle.
"Hanni." Danielle waved at Hanni.
All their luggage was with Minji, so Hanni was free to hurry towards Danielle. But when Hanni took a step forward, Hanni's left hand was suddenly pulled.
