At the Kim Company building, Hyein hesitated to open the thick folder she had just received. Normally, documents sent to the President's office, unless specifically marked otherwise, required Hyein's review first. Only after she read through and understood the contents could she present them for the President's approval. But this folder was from Pham Group, and without instructions on how to handle it, she didn't dare open it.

"President!" Karina and Winter stood and bowed respectfully as Minji passed by.

Usually, Minji would at least acknowledge them with a nod, but today she walked straight by without a glance.

"What's wrong with the President? It's like she ate something awful or was forced to drink bitter medicine," Karina whispered to Hyein after Minji's office door closed.

"How would I know? I was with you all afternoon," Hyein replied, glancing down at the folder she still held.

Inside her office, Minji slumped into her chair, Jay's words echoing in her mind: Brought along 300 billion? Only a month late?

In Hanni's childhood, she and Jay had been seen as the golden couple, with Jay considered the default son-in-law, until the Pham family's sudden crisis changed everything.

Minji let out a grim laugh, unsure if she was laughing at herself or at Jay. But she knew that, whatever happened, she and Hanni were together. As long as they had each other, no one could come between them.

After a long silence, Minji gradually calmed down and started her afternoon work. She reached for the documents needing her approval but paused when she noticed a photo frame on her desk. It hadn't been there when she left for lunch. Instinctively, her hand moved from the documents to the photo, her gaze drawn to it.

"No one can separate us, as long as you stay with me," Minji murmured, her expression softening as if finding a moment's peace.

Meanwhile, Hyein waited outside, giving her boss enough time to notice the photo on her desk. After half an hour, she finally took the Pham Group documents and knocked gently on the door.

"Come in." Minji's usual cool tone suggested the photo had fulfilled its purpose.

With a sigh of relief, Hyein entered. "Boss, I have some documents from Pham Group," she said, handing the folder to Minji.

"The Pham family?" Minji's expression shifted as she looked to Hyein for clarification.

"I didn't open it," Hyein explained.

After a pause, Minji seemed to understand. "Set it down."

"Yes." Hyein placed the folder carefully on her boss's desk before quietly exiting.

Minji didn't open it right away. Instead, she finished reviewing her current document before finally turning her attention to the folder.

As Minji opened the folder, she pulled out the thick stack of papers, her gaze lingering on the title page [Pham Group's Financial Statements and Analysis from September to November 2022]

For a long moment, Minji sat still, processing the significance of what lay before her. Finally, she pursed her lips and began to methodically flip through the contents.

The report was clear and precise, outlining issues through stark figures and detailed graphs. Minji's brow furrowed as she absorbed the data, each statistic weighing heavily on her mind.

The Pham Group's losses had peaked in early October, but by November, they had returned to profitability. Their shares had started to climb, reaching 190 won as of that morning. At this rate, Minji calculated that within six months, the Pham Group's stock could fully recover to its previous market value. When she had first injected capital into Pham Group, it had been purely to support the Pham family. Yet now, without any request from her, they had taken the initiative to send this report.
