Although Minji had drunk too much the night before, her biological clock jolted her awake at 8:00 a.m. Rubbing her throbbing temples, she slowly made her way downstairs.

"Good morning," Hanni greeted.

Minji quickened her pace at the sight of her wife.

Hanni had originally intended to scold her, but her heart softened at the sight of Minji's suffering. "Is it painful?"

Minji nodded pitifully, unable to muster a smile.

"You deserve it!" Hanni teased, trying to keep the mood light.

"Are you angry?" Minji asked cautiously, searching Hanni's face for any signs of displeasure.

"Didn't I tell you to drink less yesterday?" Hanni replied, crossing her arms and feigning annoyance.

"I know I was wrong," Minji admitted, her tone sheepish.

"If you drink that much again, I won't take care of you next time," Hanni warned, a playful edge still in her voice.

"If I do, just throw me into a corner," Minji said with a weak smile, trying to lighten the mood.

"If I catch you drunk like this again, I'll move back in with my parents," Hanni threatened, raising an eyebrow for emphasis.

"No, I promise I'll never drink again!" Minji exclaimed, grabbing Hanni's hand with a nervous expression.

Hanni couldn't suppress a laugh at her wife's sincerity. She quickly prepared a bowl of light porridge and handed it to her.

As Minji began to eat, she looked up with a puzzled expression. "Where's Mrs. Jung?"

"She's on holiday," Hanni explained.

"Holiday?"

"Lunar New Year is coming up," Hanni reminded her gently.

"Oh, I almost forgot." Minji glanced down at her porridge, then asked, "So, where did this come from?"

"I made it," Hanni replied, a proud smile spreading across her face as she watched her wife eat.

Minji's spoon paused in surprise as the bland porridge transformed in her mind into something deliciously comforting. She quickly devoured the bowl, looking like a hungry traveler who hadn't eaten in days.

Hanni stood up to serve her wife another bowl, and after a couple of refills, she remarked, "I thought you'd be hungover and lacking an appetite, but you seem to be in good spirits."

"The porridge is delicious!" Minji beamed, her satisfaction evident in her expression.

Initially expecting her wife to be suffering from a hangover, Hanni had planned for a quiet day at home. But now that Minji appeared vibrant, she suggested, "Let's go out and buy some New Year's products after you finish."

"Alright, let's go together," Minji nodded eagerly.

After breakfast, they drove to the nearest mall. Though the streets weren't overly crowded, the mall was buzzing with activity. Hanni and Minji stood in the supermarket, watching shoppers rush around, gathering items for the New Year. They felt a bit dazed by the energetic atmosphere.

"So many people." Hanni exclaimed, observing an auntie elbowing her way through the crowd with impressive determination. She had never experienced the New Year shopping frenzy before.

"En," Minji replied, glancing around. She had always been content with instant noodles during this time. "I didn't expect it to be this lively. New Year's was always a lonely time for me before."
