It was almost 8:30 a.m. when Hanni finally came downstairs. Usually, she got up at 7:10 a.m., washed up, went for a run, and then had breakfast. The only time she would wake up late was if she was sick or...
Mrs. Jung gave an ambiguous smile, and Hanni felt the urge to smack the certain animal that had kept her up all night.
"Good morning." Minji greeted her wife immediately.
Hanni smacked Minji's outstretched hand away and grumbled, "Hurry and finish eating so you can go to work."
"En." By now, Minji had learned to navigate this routine. Her wife usually had a bad mood the morning after a night of lovemaking.
Minji realized she might have been a bit too much last night. She had tried hard to restrain herself but sadly acknowledged that her self-control seemed inadequate. Never mind. By the time she got off from work, Hanni would have forgiven her.
Hanni started breakfast and drank some porridge. Truthfully, if it weren't for wanting to eat breakfast with Minji, she would have stayed in bed.
Minji stuttered through her meal before finally picking up her car keys to leave for work. She stood across the dining table, silently looking at her wife, waiting. It was hard to ignore such an obvious gaze.
On weekdays, Hanni usually walked her wife to the door, but today she was in a bad mood. "What?" She finally asked, at a loss for words.
"I... I want a goodbye kiss," Minji requested, feeling hesitant and embarrassed.
Hanni looked at her wife, almost amused by Minji's overly cautious demeanor.
Feeling wronged, Minji protested, "You... you told me yesterday that you would do whatever I asked."
Hanni put down the spoon she was holding and hooked a finger toward Minji.
Minji immediately shuffled to Hanni's side and crouched down to bring her face closer.
Hanni gave her wife a quick kiss and perfunctorily said, "Alright, go to work."
Minji straightened, a content expression on her face. However, just as she was about to leave the room, she heard Hanni mutter, "Just like a house pet."
Minji felt compelled to respond, so she turned back around. She bent down and placed her hands on Hanni's chair, trapping her wife between her arms. Without warning, she leaned down and kissed Hanni's red lips.
Seeing her wife's stunned expression when Minji pulled away, she resolutely defended herself. "A pet wouldn't kiss you like that, nor would it make you unable to get up in the morning."
Hanni blinked, then blinked again, unable to believe such sultry words had come from Minji's mouth.
"I'll come back for dinner after work," Minji said, kissing Hanni's forehead.
After a moment, Hanni finally came back to her senses and murmured to herself, "I feel like something's wrong with this."
In the Kim Company building, Kang Haerin stepped out of the elevator into a familiar room. She approached the two beauties in the secretarial department and warmly greeted them, "Hello, beauties! Did you miss me?"
"Lawyer Kang, you haven't visited in a while," Winter laughed.
"I guess there were too many beauties outside to spare time for us," Karina chimed in from the side.
"What? No, it's because—"
Just as Haerin opened her mouth, Hyein emerged from the President's office and spotted her. "Lawyer Kang, you've come. The boss is looking for you."
