When Minji flew back from Japan, she didn't bring anything with her except for the clothes on her back and the items in her suitcase. She had come back in a great hurry, just see her wife. But now, standing in front of their familiar gate and looking at the light spilling from the windows, she suddenly felt a little timid. The lights were still on, was Hanni still awake?

Choco leaped off the sofa and padded a few steps toward the entrance, his eyes alert.
Minji closed the front door, and as she did, Choco scampered ahead, following the sound of the unfinished movie.
Hanni appeared to be in a deep slumber. Her cheeks were tinted with a faint red, and her soft hair fell delicately across her face, rising and falling with each gentle breath.
Minji squatted down, her heart aching at the sight of her wife so vulnerable. She reached out and gently brushed Hanni's hair away, but quickly withdrew her hand, worried that she might wake her wife. The warmth from that brief touch lingered in her fingers, and a wave of concern washed over her. Did Hanni have a fever?
Minji hurriedly retrieved the medicine box from the shelf, her heart racing. She opened it and took out an infrared thermometer, checking Hanni's temperature. A wave of relief washed over her when she saw it was normal.
Setting the thermometer down, Minji bent down and gently picked Hanni up, cradling her in her arms as she slowly made her way up the stairs.
"Woof?" Choco tilted his head, puzzled by Minji's sudden actions, but after a moment of hesitation, he obediently settled back onto the carpet.
Minji carefully laid Hanni on the master bed, pulling the quilt up to ensure her wife was warm and comfortable. She sat on the edge of the bed, her gaze fixed on Hanni's serene figure.
Time seemed to blur as Minji sat there, her thoughts swirling. Suddenly, Hanni shifted, turning toward her. One of her wife's hands slipped out from beneath the quilt, and Minji instinctively reached out, her fingers brushing against Hanni's warm skin.
Minji was worried that Hanni might get cold, so she reached for her wife's exposed hand to tuck it back under the quilt. But just as she was about to touch it, her gaze fell on Hanni's slender fingers, adorned with the wedding ring that she herself had placed there.
As if drawn by an invisible force, Minji raised her left hand and gently placed it beside Hanni's. The scene felt familiar, like a poster she had once passed by, two hands with wedding rings, beautiful and harmonious.
Minji's fingers moved tentatively at first, then more boldly. Greedily, she slipped her hand beneath Hanni's, letting it rest there. Then, she lowered her head and softly kissed the back of her wife's hand.
When Minji returned downstairs, the warmth of Hanni's hand still lingered on her lips. As she entered the living room, Choco stood up, she bent down and gently rubbed Choco's head, smiling warmly. "Choco, did you keep mom company all day?"
Choco didn't understand Minji's words, but he knew he was being praised, so his tail wagged even faster.
"Good boy!" Minji exclaimed.
After a good night's sleep, Hanni woke up and instinctively looked around for her phone. However, after searching her bed and not finding it, she felt puzzled and eventually gave up, deciding to leave the room.
"Madam, you're awake," Mrs. Jung said as she spotted Hanni walking downstairs. Concerned, she asked, "Is your cold better now?"
"I'm feeling much better," Hanni replied with a smile.
