After Mrs. Jung finished cleaning the house, she took Choco out for a bath. It was only when she finished preparing dinner that Hanni finally came down from the attic.

Mrs. Noticed that Hanni's expression seemed off. However, when she opened her mouth to ask what was wrong, no words came out.

"Bark!" Choco, filled with grievance, ran toward his mother.

Hanni crouched down and rubbed Choco's fluffy head, and eventually, her expression softened. "Stupid." Unsure whether she was reprimanding the dog or a certain woman who resembled the dog.

"Bark!" All Choco understood was that his mother was petting his head. Loving the attention, he squinted his eyes and wagged his tail even harder.

Mrs. Jung felt relieved watching this scene. The household had finally become a warm, loving home, and she hoped nothing would disrupt this harmony.

Hanni took Choco to the sofa and settled down with a book.

"Woof." Choco lay quietly on the carpet. After a while, he suddenly perked up and barked.

"Hmm?" Hanni lifted her gaze from the book, puzzled.

Seeing Choco's alert posture, Hanni quickly guessed the reason. Sure enough, she heard the sound of a car engine outside. Minji was back.

Hanni put down her book, wrapped her shawl tighter around her shoulders, and walked to the door.

Minji parked her car and opened the door. She was about to pat Choco's head when she caught sight of a slender figure out of the corner of her eye. The hand that was reaching for Choco froze. With her other hand still resting on the car, she turned her head to see the beautiful Hanni standing at the front door.

"Welcome back," Hanni smiled casually.

"Yes!" The astonished Minji could only reply with a single word.

This was the first time Minji had ever felt so ecstatic over such simple words. She was so happy that she couldn't help but giggle like an idiot.

"What are you laughing about? Get inside," Hanni said, a little speechless.

"En," Minji closed her car door and floated toward the house. She walked right up to Hanni, seemingly forgetting about the excitable dog weaving around her feet.

"What's the matter?" Hanni noticed Minji hadn't entered the house and assumed she had something to say.

"I'm back," Minji repeated softly, grinning.

"I know. Didn't I just greet you?" Hanni replied, confused.

"En." Minji gave her wife an awkward smile. "I just wanted to say it again."

"Bark!" Choco squeezed himself, trying to force them to notice him.

Minji finally remembered Choco's existence and began to knead the dog's head. "Choco, let's go inside."

Hanni watched as Minji walked into the house with Choco in tow, she shook her head with a smile and walked into the kitchen to check on dinner.

"Madam, is boss back?" Mrs. Jung asked as Hanni entered.

"Yes," Hanni nodded.

"Ever since you two got married, your wife has been coming home on time. I've just finished dinner," Mrs. Jung said with a smile. "When boss lived alone, I could never predict when she'd be home."

Hanni, who had been setting the table, froze. Mrs. Jung's words hit her like a splash of cold water, jolting her mind and making her realize the reason behind Minji's earlier behavior.
