"I can't believe Tyler Lockwood's a werewolf," Jeremy said for what was probably the millionth time since they filled him in. He was leaning against the wall of their bathroom as Elena and Lyn got ready. Lyn spit her toothpaste into the sink and raised her head to give her little brother an exasperated look.
"We're not sure about that yet. The only thing we know for sure is that Mason Lockwood is." Elena corrected him.
"But if Mason is, that means that if Tyler isn't already one, he has the potential to be one. So, we need to figure out how he would trigger the curse." Lyn reasoned, pulling her braids out and allowing neat waves of hair to cascade down her shoulders.
"Should be easy enough for us to figure out." Said, Jeremy.
"There is no us," Elena told him firmly. "I said that I wouldn't keep things from you anymore. That doesn't mean that I want you involved in it."
"By definition of being in this family, I'm involved," Jeremy chuckled, holding up his ring.
"This is dangerous, Jeremy. You have to stay out of it, okay?" Elena said.
"Alright. Just saying." Jeremy confirmed. He walked out of the bathroom, and Lyn narrowed her eyes. She rushed after him and grabbed onto his arm. "What?" he asked.
"Well, for one, you need acting lessons," Lyn smirked. Jeremy rolled his eyes at her.
"I don't need acting lessons; you can just read minds– it's freaky." He defended. "You won't tell Elena, right?"
"No, I won't," Lyn said begrudgingly. "But be safe; we don't know what abilities come with lycanthropy."
"I will," Jeremy promised. "Have fun at the picnic." Lyn nodded as he walked down the stairs. She didn't really want to go to the picnic. She was only going because it meant a lot to Caroline, and she wanted to make the blonde happy. Stefan and Elena had cued Lyn in on Caroline being a Katherine spy, which she should've seen coming. It explained all of her weird behavior the night of the barbecue.
Elena had been mad at first, but Lyn had known better. Caroline loved them and just wanted them to be happy. She would only do something like this if she were truly terrified of what would happen if she didn't. Lyn didn't know who Katherine threatened or what she threatened to do, but she did know that Caroline needed to have some fun. Even if she was spying on them at the picnic, at least she could enjoy the fruits of her labor while doing it. Caroline had planned this historical society picnic months ago, and Lyn would not let Katherine ruin it.

"So suddenly, she's in the running for Mother of the Year just when I'm trying to avoid her the most. I'm babbling; you guys don't want to hear all this."
"Of course we want to hear, Caroline. What happened next?" Lyn told her.
"Well, I was a bitch, which is par for the course with us." Caroline turned to Elena from where she was painting a beam and suspiciously asked, "So, how are things with you and Stefan? Anything?"
