Lyn was, surprisingly, full of energy when she woke up. She was sure that the universe had shifted on its axis; that was the only explanation for how she had gotten a full night's sleep three times in a row. She was grateful whatever the explanation was. So, when she hopped into the shower Lyn still felt as though she was escaping the world, and it was nice, but maybe she didn't need to escape the world all the time.

With a spring in her step, Lyn made her way downstairs and into the kitchen. Despite sleeping well, she was still up before anyone else in the household. So, she got to work making breakfast and soon the house was filled with the smell of fresh bacon and eggs.

Jenna was the first one to come down to the kitchen. She smiled upon sight of the food. "I love you!" She exclaimed, hurriedly rushing to grab a plate and fill it up.

"Are you talking to me or the food?" Lyn asked with a smirk.

"Both." Jenna offered. Lyn chuckled a little and bit into her own food. Jenna left for class a while after, but Jeremy and Elena came down not long after.

Jeremy headed out to school soon, so that left Elena and Lyn alone in the kitchen chatting. "Oh, no way!" Lyn explained as Elena recounted her tale of what happened earlier in the night. "Now, I kinda wish I'd been up for that."

"Trust me, you don't." Elena reassured her with a smile. A knock on the door prompted the girls away from their meal as they went to open the door. Elena pulled it open to see Stefan and Damon standing in the doorway.

"Can we talk?" Stefan asked. Lyn looked at Damon for an explanation.

"Why?" She asked.

"We went to see Katherine." He told them. Elena nodded and opened the door wider.

"Come on in,"

They quickly explained the offer Katherine had proposed: they get her out of the tomb, she gives them the moonstone and leaves. So, in summary, she told them a load of bullshit. "You don't actually believe her, do you?" Lyn asked incredulously.

"No, of course not," Damon denied. "We just want the moonstone."

"According to Rose's friend Slater, there's a way to destroy the spell that Klaus wants to break." Stefan informed them.

"No spell, no doppelganger sacrifice. Ergo: you both live." Damon continued.

"How do you destroy it?" Lyn asked, taking note of the contemplative look on her sister's face.

"By releasing it from the moonstone." Stefan said.

"How do you guys even know this is gonna work?" Elena finally spoke up.

"Cause we have a crafty witch on our side." Damon supplied.

"You discussed it with Bonnie." Elena realized.

"She agreed to do anything she could to help us." Stefan provided.

"It's Katherine who has the moonstone. She's not going to give it to you." Elena reasoned.
