♥️✨♥️✨♥️✨♥️✨♥️✨Hunter's POV
The battle was getting out of hand. Time and time again, we were being attacked by warlocks who would shapeshift into different creatures. They were stronger than I had anticipated, but I managed to tell the difference between Warlock and Santiago.
Just as I thought we were done for, Santiago shifted back to a minotaur again, charging toward me. "Hunter, watch out!" Alarick yells, holding his hand out.
"Not today, asshole!" I hear Axel suddenly come into view. He charges behind the minotaur, jumping into the air, grabbing the monster by the horns, and pulling him down.
I shift onto Titus and launch toward them, snapping my snout; I grip the minotaur's neck and bite down hard. I could feel the canines pierce its skin, giving it a guttering growl. Axel finishes him off, hitting him on the back of his neck, making me snap the whole head off of him.
The head falls to the ground, making it roll away. "That's what you get for laying your filthy hands on my son, asshole!" I say, spitting the taste of his blood on the ground.
"No!" Matisa yells, falling to her knees. She looks at the rolling head in shock.
"It's about damn time you got here!" I say as I shift back and breathe erratically next to Axel. "Yeah, well. I got here. Now let's finish this damn battle." he says as he throws a sword my way, making me catch it swiftly and stand guard by his side.
These witches have an insatiable desire for blood, but my thirst to end them is bigger.
"Continue. I'll make you pay for this, mutt!" Matisa says as she points to me, directing her witches to finish chanting.
But she was unaware that Abbie was also chanting, calling her power, and Elora, Elena, and Emily were chanting with her.
✨✨✨✨Abbie's POV
I completed my chant, but Matisa was far too busy relishing her chant to look my way to see what was coming her way.
She chuckled evilly as she ignited her aura, linking it to the amulet she held. Her body was ignited in an aura all around her.
To the witches around her, she had won. The aura looked powerful and mighty. No one would ever be able to stop her now. Deceitful. Her aura wouldn't break, and it would destroy every single one of us with a wolf would be done for... if only. I chuckled as I finished calling my power.
It felt great. Merida was right; it felt amazing, liberating, and empowering!
Except, she was wrong.
When the witches around her finally opened their eyes and looked at me, they gasped in shock.
I never met my father, but he had left me a great gift behind- his wolf strength. He was the last of his line, the wolves of the fire moon; my great-grandmother, the power of our clan, the witches of the southern witch clan. And my great-grandfather had left the amulet, the genuine amulet that I held around my neck, hidden from Matisa's eyes.
