Kelly and Stella : Coming Back Together Again

Feeling things out

It had been a day of playing at the park and practicing baseball on this off day so they all were beyond ready for dinner. Stella had cooked some mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, red beans and rice, and pork chops. Once it was done they all came to the table. As Stella got prepared to move the food from the counter to the table Kelly came up behind her and smacked her ass "this looks good babe" Kelly told her in a low whisper so the kids couldn't hear him. "Thank you. Hopefully it tastes as good as it looks" Stella tells him. "I'm sure it will" Kelly tells her as he totes the plate with pork chops to the table. "Have y'all had fun today" Stella asks them. "Yes. Me and Dad don't get many opportunities to play sports together or practice so that was really cool" Brandon says as Stella looks over at Kelly giving his leg a pat knowing he needed to hear that especially from Brandon. "It was definitely a blast. I'm sorry we don't get to do that more often" Kelly tells Brandon. "It's fine I understand. You do what you can with us when you can" Brandon tells him. "I definitely try" Kelly tells him. "So princess how was your day" Kelly says looking at Ella. "I had fun at the park too especially when you and mommy were swinging with me" Ella says. "That part was definitely fun too. I think overall everything we did today was really fun" Kelly says. "I agree. The weather was perfect as well so it made everything easy to do without over heating or freezing" Stella tells him. "I definitely agree" Kelly told her. "Are you enjoying summer break so far Brandon" Kelly asks. "Yes for sure. I'm glad it's just beginning because I'm definitely not ready for it to be over" Brandon told them. "I'm glad" Kelly tells him. "Can me and y'all's mom talk to y'all about something important real quick? It's not bad" Kelly asks them. "Yes" both kids replied

"Ok so we're going to tell you then we want y'all's opinions on it to make sure y'all are good with it. Me and Mom have been back together in a romantic relationship for a couple months and feel like it's time we tell y'all especially with as much time as she's been staying over here and all. Plus y'all deserve to know the full truth of what's going on" Kelly tells them. "Does that mean y'all love one another again" Ella asks. "Well yes but we've always loved one another in one way or another" Stella tells her. "So does this mean we don't have to go between houses anymore" Brandon asks. "Not necessarily for right now but probably. My lease is up in a couple weeks and we've been talking about me moving in here since I'm already over here so much anyway with y'all" Stella tells him. "That would be awesome " Brandon and Ella both told them. "I'm glad y'all are happy with it" Stella tells them. "So am I " Kelly tells her. "Any more questions" Kelly asks them. "Is this why Mommy has been sleeping with you instead of us" Ella asks. "Yes" Kelly responds. "Can we tell Grandma" Brandon asks. "I'd prefer you not. Let us tell her when we're ready please" Kelly tells him. "Ok" Brandon tells him. "Are y'all fully happy about this" Stella asks. As both kids scream yes in excitement. "Is this why mom has been staying over" Brandon asks. "Yes" Stella tells him. "Why can't Grandma know yet" Brandon asks them. "It's more so because she can get a little pushy on certain things sometimes and excited so we just want to make sure that it's got some time behind it first" Kelly tells him. " Oh ok" Brandon replied

Once they were done with dinner Kelly helped Stella pick up the kitchen while the kids watched Power Rangers. "I'm really happy that they took that so well and are happy " Stella tells Kelly. "I am too. I can't lie I was a little nervous. I figured they would be happy but a part of me was scared they wouldn't be" Kelly tells her. "I felt the same so I get it" Stella tells him. "I'm even happier that I've wounded up not breathing wrong to Brandon today. I love him so much just like I do you and Ella but lord he's definitely a Severide through and through " Kelly tells her. "Tell me about it" Stella tells him. "Oh I think you've experienced it plenty" Kelly tells her laughing. "Something like that for sure" Stella tells him back with her own laugh

Once they were done cleaning the kitchen they went and got the kids their baths before getting ready for bed. "Mommy can I sleep with you and Daddy tonight " Ella asks Stella as she puts her pajamas on. "Let me ask your daddy if that's okay first before I tell you a definite but probably. I'll be right back " Stella says going into the kitchen where Kelly is with Brandon getting a cup of milk. "Hey Kelly come here a second " Stella tells him waving him over to her. "What's up" Kelly says once he gets over there. "Ella wants to know if she can sleep with us tonight. What do you think about it" Stella says to Kelly. "Why" Kelly asks. "I don't have a clue. I think it's just because. Occasionally at my place I would let her sleep with me for a night or two sometimes so I think that's all it is" Stella told Kelly. "I guess that will be fine. You know I don't like to sleep with them though especially when I have you in there too because then we really don't have room" Kelly tells her. "I know and I understand it's because they knee in the back and hand all over your face making it hard to sleep and get comfortable but it's just for one night" Stella tells him. "I know" Kelly tells her. Stella headed back off to tell Ella that Kelly agreed. As soon as Brandon finished his milk he got ready for bed as Kelly laid with him until he fell asleep while Stella went to lay down with Ella in her and Kellys bed
