Kelly and Stella : Coming Back Together Again

The weekend was finally here that Stella, Violet, and Jennifer will be heading to the cabin for a weekend girls trip. Kelly is at home with the kids while Richard is in Pennsylvania with his son. Gallo is planning on going on a fishing trip with Cruz and Damon while Violet is away

Jennifer wrapped her workshop a day early and Violet was off shift today anyway Stella decided to take Friday off too so they could head up there early in the morning instead of late in the afternoon like originally planned. "Stella why did you recommend coming here when you know there's only one bed" Violet asks Stella. "Well technically there's 2 beds. This couch has a comfortable pull out bed too so I figured me and you could sleep on it together and Jennifer can sleep in the bedroom" Stella tells her. "Oh ok but still surprised knowing you" Violet tells her. "Is Jennifer almost here yet" Violet asks her. "Yes. She text me just a few minutes ago and said her ETA is at 10:30 so about 5 minutes"  Stella tells her. "Are you truly happy to be having her on this trip" Violet asks her. "Yes why" Stella said. "I just know you and Jennifer have a very hot and cold relationship at times" Violet tells her. "You're not wrong but she's not horrible. She's really put in the work to stop being so assertive in our business and now it's me trying to get Kelly to stop doing it to her. Secondly is she's still my kids grandma and my future husbands mom so I'm going to have to tolerate her forever regardless" Stella said. "That's one way to look at it. I think she mainly backed up because Kelly kept reminding her and enforcing y'all's boundary with her very strong but nonetheless she stopped so I'm glad for that" Violet tells her. "Me and Kelly are unsure if she quit because she got in a relationship or if it's because of how forced our boundary has gotten but either way she quit so that's good" Stella said. "Yep I absolutely agree. Do you think that had she kept doing it she would have eventually drove a wedge between you and Kelly" Violet said. "No. Me and Kelly made it abundantly clear we were on the same side and if push comes to shove it would be Jennifer shoved" Stella tells her. "I'm glad because I know Kelly loves you so much but he does also love his mom. That would have been a position of a rock and hard place" Violet said. "Yep I know. I know he would choose me every time though" Stella tells her. "Oh damn y'all are in love in love. I'm so glad that y'all have been able to get back to the place y'all are at now" Violet tells her. "Honestly I'm not sure if we ever were in the happy place we are now the first go around even in the beginning. I know we weren't after a while but I truly don't think we even were in the beginning. I don't say that to discredit what happiness was there but we were both much worse versions of ourselves at the time. We had some maturing to do and a lot of self discovery to happen about ourselves and the situations around us" Stella tells her. "I agree. I think that especially Kelly had some maturing to do" Violet says. "Just because you saw his the most doesn't mean he was the only one that had work to do. I kept mine hidden better which was a lot easier to do at the time than it was to hide his" Stella tells her as Jennifer pulls up. "Anyway Jennifer is here so I'm going to get her suit case in" Stella said before heading out to help Jennifer. "You don't have to Stella. I can get it you're 20 weeks pregnant you need to be careful" Jennifer tells her. "You sound like Kelly. I'm not made of glass I can do it" Stella tells her. "I know but I would feel so bad if you were to get hurt trying to carry my luggage" Jennifer tells her. "It's fine. I'll be investigating what's in here if I somehow get hurt toting it" Stella tells her with a laugh as they head inside

"I've not been here since me and Benny last came here together when Kelly was 7. It doesn't appear anything about this old place has changed though it even smells the same" Jennifer said as she walked in. "I don't think Benny came up here much" Stella said. "He didn't ever come up here unless he was trying to be a Disney dad or bury himself in work. He'd come up here so no one would fully see how much he was doing. Lots of dirty work was done here" Jennifer tells her. "What do you mean about lots of dirty work being done here" Stella asked her. "He would come up here because of it being out in the middle of nowhere and a ways from Chicago and when he wanted to do stuff on investigations that was for those above or below him he would come here and conduct his work here. He kept lots of files of investigations that he was never even supposed to be on here. He would sneak into OFI after hours and take pages of files then bring them here. I don't know how he did it but when he would catch the arsonist of the case he would always find a way to cover his filthy tracks" Jennifer tells her. "Is that how several years ago Kelly was able to find all that about that arsonist Carol" Kelly asked. "Yes the files but Benny was assigned that case along with several others as time went on they kept adding people into the case hoping one could find her" Jennifer tells her. "Gotcha the dirty work tracks for many things Kelly has told me about Benny over the years. Also if you don't mind me asking what do you mean about him trying to be a Disney dad" Stella said. "I don't I just hope Kelly doesn't either but oh well. A lot when Kelly was growing up as you know I'm sure Benny was in and out a lot of his life really but especially in his childhood. We divorced when Kelly was 12 but we kept doing our on and off stuff like we did for many years before. Benny would do this thing where he would be in a while and he would give Kelly anything he wanted and let him do anything just because it made Kelly happy then one day Benny would get a wild hair and he would leave us both for months at a time with no contact or anything then he would come back and repeat the cycle all over again. I call him Disney dad because of how he treated Kelly when he was in. It was all a ploy to hurt Kelly. Show him who he can be then run. Benny had it in him to be a good man he just never wanted to be one" Jennifer tells her. "Kelly has definitely talked to me a lot over the years about Benny and some of the treatment he did to both you and him. He's talked a lot about the in and out stuff and how he was very abusive to you verbally and mentally and even Kelly. He's also mentioned a few times that Benny has been physically abusive towards Kelly. He's even talked about some of their good times and how he was in and out but I don't think that Kelly has ever really talked about it in much depth because he's Kelly" Stella tells her. "Yeah I don't think Kelly has ever really talked about it to anyone in depth. I wish he would but I honestly don't ever see him doing it" Jennifer said. "It wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't ever talk about it either. He talks a lot about the good times with Benny though I will say especially to the kids" Stella tells her. "It probably helps him deal with it easier by remembering and talking about the good times" Violet said. "It definitely might" Stella said. "So what do y'all ladies want to do today" Violet asks. "I'm down for the french market to get some good food and coffee" Stella said. "I always love me a good market" Jennifer tells her. "So do I but Kelly and the kids hate going so I don't much but whenever we have the free time and they are open I leave Kelly at home with the kids and go" Stella tells her. "Best thing to do" Jennifer tells her. They got ready and in the car as they headed out to the market
