Kelly and Stella : Coming Back Together Again

Weekend together

This week has been filled with fun outside after school and preparing for their sports season that's quickly approaching. They were calling Stella every night and checking in with her and Kelly decided to pack their bags on Tuesday in preparation for this weekend. Stella facetimed him and did a checklist with him to make sure he had grabbed everything he needed to get packed for them. They had decided since school was closed on Monday for labor day and Kelly was off anyway that they would move their flights back until late Monday afternoon

"Let's text momma real quick to let her know we're boarding the flight" Kelly tells the kids as they get seated on the plane and prepare for take off. "Isn't she going to meet us at the airport in Philadelphia" Brandon asks. "Yep and from there were going to go to the hotel" Kelly tells him. "I thought so" Brandon said. A couple hours later at 6:15 they had finally landed. Kelly texted Stella as soon as they landed and told her where they were and to meet them at baggage claim to which she replied that her Uber was running a few minutes behind due to traffic but she would be there in just a few minutes. He went ahead and called them a Uber so that they wouldn't be stuck to long at the airport like Stella was waiting to get here. About that time Stella called him "hey I think we might be better to walk back. It's about a 10 minute walk but traffic is awful" Stella tells him. "I just ordered a Uber so we wouldn't have to wait to long" Kelly tells her. "I would cancel that. Traffic is awful I'm not sure what's going on today but it's taking forever for them to get to you and to be able to get anywhere. I was supposed to be there 15 minutes ago yet this construction has us at a stand still pretty much" Stella said. "We'll just wait on the Uber this time" Kelly said. "Alright but don't get mad when it takes forever" Stella tells him. "I won't" Kelly tells her before they say bye and Kelly, Ella, and Brandon grab their luggage and head outside of the airport to wait on their Uber and Stella. "Shouldn't momma already be here" Ella asks. "Yes but traffic is holding her up pretty good. She's almost here though" Kelly tells her. "Is there something special going on here today" Brandon asks him. "I don't think so nor did she" Kelly tells him. "Then why the high traffic" Brandon asks. "I'm not sure. This could just be Philadelphia for all we know or many other people flying in for the holiday weekend" Kelly said. "What's the holiday" Brandon asks him. "Labor day. It's why you don't have school on Monday" Kelly tells him. "Oh ok so that's why we get to stay until Monday afternoon now" Brandon said. "Exactly why" Kelly said seeing Stellas Uber pull up. "There's momma come on this way and our Uber back to the hotel is almost here too" Kelly tells the kids as they walk towards Stellas Uber and wait on her to get out. "Hey mommy" Ella says running up to Stella and giving her a hug. "Hi sweetie. Have you enjoyed your day so far" Stella asks her. "Yes it's been so much fun. I have never been on an airplane until now and I already can't wait to do it again" Ella tells her. "I'm so glad you had fun. How's school been for you this week" Stella asks. "It's gone good. I've been telling everyone all week about what we're doing this weekend. My teacher said her family will be heading back to North Carolina to visit some of their family too" Ella tells her. "I'm so glad. I told you there wasn't nothing to be scared of about preschool" Stella said. "Nothing at all" Ella said as Stella let's go and heads over to Brandon. "Hey buddy. I've missed you so much this week" Stella tells him giving him a hug. "I've missed you too. When are you coming home" Brandon asks. "Next Sunday" Stella tells him. "Good. It's not been the same without you there. Don't get me wrong I love dad but he's not as fun as you" Brandon tells her. "Don't say that you're dad is pretty fun but I'm excited to come back home too" Stella tells him. "No momma you don't get it. He's always either playing with us together or picking to either play with Ella or me for that afternoon" Brandon said to her. "You're dad is only one person with such little time right now with both of you now that school is back in full swing. He's trying his best I'm sure" Stella tells him. "I guess" Brandon tells her. "So how is school for you this week" Stella asks him. "Good as always. I think I'm finally ready for football and basketball season too" Brandon tells her. "I'm glad. You and Dad must have been playing a lot this week" Stella tells him. "Quite a bit" Brandon tells him. "Uber is here" Kelly says as Brandon and Stella break apart and Kelly grabs their bags loading the car as they climb in. "I guess I'll get my hug at the hotel" Kelly said to Stella passing her to get into the passenger seat. "You will as soon as we get to the hotel room. If I had known that the Uber was that close I would have saved some of that for the hotel so I could hug everyone there" Stella tells him. "No it's fine I was just messing with you but I do want a hug" Kelly tells her reaching in the back to hold her hold. "Have y'all heard about the Eagles preseason game tonight " the Uber driver asked. "No but is that why traffic is awful today " Kelly asks. "Yes. We're supposed to be playing the Falcons tonight here. They say though we might have some storms for a couple hours that will delay it though" the Uber driver said. "Ehh that ain't good then. How are they doing so far this preseason" Kelly asks him. "They could be a lot better but we've also been a lot worse. It's just preseason right now so nothing to stress about " the Uber driver says. "Yeah preseason is when you're still figuring the kinks out" Kelly tells him. "I absolutely agree" the Uber driver says pulling up to the hotel as Kelly pays him and gets their stuff out before heading in. "What's the room number" Kelly asks Stella. "113. It's right down the hall here" Stella says pointing down the hall as they head that way. "How did you get lucky enough to get a first floor room" Kelly asks her. "I don't know. I was shocked too" Stella tells him as she unlocks the hotel room and they head in. The kids immediately jump on the bed and start playing as Kelly brings their bags in and puts them down. "Damn how much have you accumulated since being here" Kelly said noticing a whole other bag full that she didn't originally have when she came. "Hey I have to make sure to get plenty of things in Philadelphia to mark the occasion. I've had some GOF Philadelphia shirts made to bring home for all of us and the girls working here at it. I've also gathered some cups that have a map of Philadelphia on it to bring home and I've grabbed a couple little coloring books for the kids" Stella tells him. "Lord this is why you can't go anywhere alone" Kelly says teasing her. "I have to mark the occasion I can't help it" Stella said before heading over to him and wrapping him in a hug. "Here's your hug you've been waiting for" Stella tells him before giving him a kiss. "About time" Kelly says giving her ass a smack. "I've explained to you already why" Stella tells him. "I know and I said I understand and truly do. I was just picking at you" Kelly tells her. "So now that we are in person and I can get you longer how has everything been back at home" Stella asks him. "Fun and busy. Me and the kids have been practicing their sports, played hop scotch, played Barbies, and built several things with Legos. While they're at school when I've been off I've been cleaning up the house some getting it organized. The other day I built a shoe rack for beside the front door and one for our room" Kelly tells her. "So you've been busy and having lots of fun" Stella said. "Yep been having too much to do to really rest much but I think it makes it easier with you not there" Kelly tells her. "Only one more week" Stella tells him. "I know and I'm so ready for you to be back" Kelly tells her. "I'm ready to be back for sure" Stella said. "When are we going to eat dinner" Ella asks breaking them apart. "Whenever y'all are ready we can order something and it'll be delivered to us here" Stella said. "I'm hungry now" Ella tells her. "Me too" Brandon said. "Alright then what do y'all want to eat and I'll order it" Stella tells them. "Pizza" Ella said. "Pizza sounds great" Brandon said. "We've not had that in awhile so it really does" Kelly said. "Yeah I think we last ate some a few months ago" Stella said pulling her phone out to order Pizza. "It should be about 30 minutes the app says. Do y'all kids want to go ahead and get cleaned up and into y'all's pajamas" Stella asks them. "Yes I'm ready" Ella and Brandon both said before they headed and got bath time done. " After we eat if y'all want we can turn on the Eagles game and watch it for a little while or y'all can get on y'all's tablets" Kelly said. "I think I want to play on my tablet" Ella said. "I'd rather watch football" Brandon said. "That's fine. Ella can play on her tablet while the rest of us watch football" Kelly tells them. "Yep. Can I cuddle with you instead of watching football though" Stella asks Kelly. "How about both" Kelly said in response. "That'll work" Stella tells him
