Y/n had been in the library neatening up some of the books when Bronwyn called her name from down the hall.
"There's no need to shout, dear." Alma lightly scolds from the kitchen and the girl apologized, sending y/n a smile when she seen her coming down the hallway.
"What is it?"
"There's a letter for you." She replies, handing her the letter and the woman looked over it, growing confused when she seen where it was from.
"Who's it from?" Bronwyn asks, but seen the woman grow pale when she read the word urgent on the front.
"Are you feeling alright?" She glanced up at Alma for a second and nodded, clearing her throat.
"It's just from my old school." Y/n says, not explaining further more which left the two confused. The children or Alma don't know anything about her going to Hogwarts, but she didn't quite have to explain since everyone else had powers.
She walked over to the nightstand in the parlor, getting a letter cutter and opened it, placing it back in before opening the piece of paper.
As she read on, she felt her heart race and grow more worried, reading over her professors rushed hand writing when she suddenly set it down on the night stand, rushing upstairs. The ymbryne watched her confused, sharing a look with Bronwyn before y/n came back down stairs, a small pouch in her hand.
"Is something the matter?" Alma asks, unsure what to think and confused by what she was doing when y/n dumped a small amount of the Floo powder in her hand. She knew they would all be questioning her later as she's never openly used it before, but she didn't have time to explain.
"I need to go, I should be back by either tonight or tomorrow morning." The younger woman says, her voice rushed and when Alma opened her mouth to say something, y/n didn't catch what she heard when she walked over to the fireplace.
"Y/n, what she you doing?"
"I'll explain later." She says, ducking her head to get under the fireplace and Alma only grew more confused, Bronwyn raising an eyebrow. Y/n started a fire quickly, backing up with the powder in her hands.
"What witchcraft is going on now?" Enoch asks unamused when he seen Bronwyn and his ymbryne watching her intently, both confused and concerned. He jumped though when y/n threw the dust onto the fire, the red-orange of it turning to an emerald green instead and y/n stepped right towards it.
"Miss y/l/n, don't-" Bronwyn was cut off when she stepped right into it, glancing back at Alma and the two children to see the shocked and confused looks on their faces.
"Hogwarts." She said, her voice clear and steady and suddenly she was gone with the green flames.

Y/n eventually made her ways up the hall to where Professor Dumbledores office was, a feeling of nostalgia washing over her as she thought back to when she had schooling here. It would have been a few years ago since she hadn't found Miss Peregrine's loop until 2 years after she graduated.
She knocked on the door, a mix of concern yet relief filling her when she seen the headmaster open the door and moved away so she could go in.
"Is Professor McGonagall alright?" Y/n asks immediately, worried for the older woman but Dumbledore only raised a hand to quiet her questions.
"I am sure you're aware of some of the situation, assuming you have gotten your letter?" He says and y/n nods, watching him closely as he walked from the door over to his desk to sit down before motioning to the chair in front of the desk. The younger woman moved to sit down, her nerves getting the best of her.
"Professor McGonagall was poisoned earlier this morning." He begins and y/n's eyes widened for a moment.
"What?"
"We believe it was from someone who is working with you-know-who." He says and the woman felt her chest tighten as dread fell over her.
"You mean...?"
"Tom Riddle, yes." He replies, his tone lowering and the younger woman glanced over to try and read his expression, but failed.
"Where is professor McGonagall?" She asks, needing to see her.
"We thought you may be able to help. With your powers after all." Dumbledore says calmly. "We had caught the news of your staying at a loop. Does the ymbryne there know about here?"
"No, I never told them since I didn't need to. I graduated, there was no point since I wasn't expecting to be sent back here." Y/n explains, looking over when she heard someone else enter the room.
"Oh it's you." Snape says, a hint of relief in his voice that he wouldn't admit to. "The professor is in her room. I would like if you would hurry over there now." He says and y/n glanced at the headmaster who gave her a nod in agreement.
The younger woman stood, walking out of the room and down the familiar hall to McGonagall's room, knocking gently on the door before opening it.
"Professor?"
"She won't answer, she's asleep." Snape says, following into the room behind her. "We need you to use your power to heal her."
"My peculiarity?"
"Yes, that." He says, y/n walking over and kneeling by the edge of the bed when the older woman was.
"When was she poisoned?"
"About an hour ago. We tried reversing whatever it was, but found no changes."
"Alright." Y/n says softly, standing back up, the soft glow rising in her hands. "Could you get me a chair?" She asks and the man nodded, leaving the room. Y/n then placed her hands on the woman's stomach, shutting her eyes, a soft glow illuminating the room as she quietly spoke under her breath. She talked quickly but softly, the glow traveling from her hands to her hair as she concentrated, not hearing Snape reenter and sitting a chair near her as he watched on.
Eventually she fell quiet, her energy suddenly drained and she stumbled back for a moment, the professor catching her by the arm and helping her sit down.
"Did it work?" He asks, glancing at her before back at McGonagall.
"It should."

Alma and Bronwyn were both poking around the flames of the fire with the metal stick, confused and trying to figure out what had happened. The ymbryne though quickly pulled Bronwyn back though when the emerald flames appeared once more, y/n appearing and stepping at of them unharmed.
"What was that?" Bronwyn asks at the same time Alma had asked her if she was alright.
"It's a very long story and I think I need to sit down." The woman says, exhausted from using her peculiarity. She didn't use it often for that reason. The whole time she stayed at Miss Peregrine's, she never had to use it once and she never practiced so it wore her out faster.
The headmistress helped her sit down, glancing over her confused and worried.
"You can walk through fire?" Bronwyn asks, excited yet impressed and y/n smiled slightly.
"No no, only when I use the Floo powder."
"Flu powder? Does it make you sick?" Bronwyn questions and y/n chuckled.
"No, Floo powder. F-l-o-o." She says and smiled. "And no, it doesn't make me sick. It's a very long story." She says softly, Alma tilting her head slightly as she listened on.
"I suppose then we will have to have a chat later." Miss Peregrine says, meeting the woman's gaze and y/n managed a soft smile.
