TRIGGER WARNING: SA and mentions of drinking

~~~
Y/n was lying in bed, in a deep sleep from passing out drunk last night. Her hair was a mess, streaks of old makeup stained her cheeks, her outfit slightly torn. She didn't wake until she heard a rather loud knock on her door, groaning from the pain in her head before letting out a huff.
"Who the hell-" Y/n muttered when she heard the person open the door, wincing when they slammed it shut and she lazily opened her eyes, seeing the ymbryne. Alma's gaze was hard, her eyebrows furrowed in frustration, her blue eyes looking over the younger womans.
"You are a whole hour behind on schedule!" Miss Peregrine snaps and y/n grimaced, pressing her hand against her head.
"I can see that." Y/n mumbles. "Can you please keep your voice down?" She caught the slight scent of alcohol on the woman and immediately her stare hardened.
"Were you drinking?" The headmistress asks, y/n not answering as she rubbed her forehead. "So you snuck out last night. You left the loop." She wasn't asking, y/n knew that.
"Please keep your voice down." Y/n mutters again, jumping slightly when the ymbryne caught her wrist, moving her hand down to look her in the eyes.
"You have been in my loop for almost two years now, y/n. You should know full well I do not tolerate liars and people who do stupid things behind my back." Alma says firmly, her glare burning through the woman's gaze.
"I get that, now let go of me." She says firmly, returning her glare.
"Why were you out drinking?" The ymbryne questions, pulling her hand away and standing with her arms crossed as the younger woman slowly sat up in bed, shutting her eyes for a moment when she felt the pain stir.
"I just wanted to forget some things." Y/n says softly, pinching the bridge of her nose from growing irritated and hurt at the thoughts that crept into her head.
"Forget what?" The woman presses, clearly not letting her off the hook, her agitation present on her features.
"Please stop shouting." Y/n manages saying once more, her eyes still shut as she listened to the ymbryne, feeling herself about to snap.
"If you hadn't gone out of the loop to go have a drink-"
"Stop talking! My head is fucking hurting like hell and this is obviously not going to change anything so, please, shut the hell up!" Y/n snaps, raising her voice and looking her right in the eyes.
"You do not speak to me like that in this household-" Alma goes to scold when she was cut off once more.
"God damnit, I just wanted his hands off of me!" The younger woman shouts.
The silence in the room was deafening. Y/n felt the tears building in her eyes and it only increased the pain in her head. Her gaze was the first to leave from Alma's, resting her head in her hands as she felt those stupid tears pile and then fall.
"I kept telling him to get off- I just wanted him to get off." Y/n says, her throat tightening as she thought back to it. She could still feel the cold ground beneath her, his hands roaming down her hip, then her thighs and then-
"Don't touch me!" Y/n snaps, feeling someone place their hands on her knees when realization hit her that it was just the older woman. Alma immediately removed her hands from resting on her knees, hesitating before kneeling down in front of her to try and look at her.
"Y/n, look here." The ymbryne says softly, her voice much more gentle than a moment ago. "Look at me."
When the younger woman didn't, she carefully stood up, sitting next to her on the edge of the bed, her hand carefully taking hers and moving it away from her face to catch her gaze.
"Darling, I'm sorry." She whispers, her features sad and a hint of resentment behind them, but not towards y/n.
"I didn't want him to." Y/n says, her voice quiet and strained. Her shoulders shook slightly from the sobs that wanted to leave but she couldn't.
"I know, I know you didn't and I'm so sorry." Miss Peregrine says quietly, her voice sincere as her gaze moved to look at the floor, matching where y/n's was.
"I'm sorry, I really am. I just wanted to forget, but it didn't even work." The younger woman whispered, feeling the tears run down her cheeks. "If I would have just-"
"Y/n, don't." Alma says firmly, meeting her eyes.
"But I could have fought harder-"
"Y/n."
"If I hadn't been an idiot and learned how to just be normal and enjoy it!" Y/n snapped, a small sob escaping her voice at the end.
"You're not an idiot." Alma says firmly, her to me caring but stern. "You didn't enjoy it, y/n and that is reasonable. You said no and he didn't listen."
"I didn't say no." Y/n muttered, her shoulders shaking slightly and her gaze looking deeply into the ymbrynes. Alma glanced over her, confused and concerned.
"Alma, I was drunk." She whispers, her voice giving out when it cracked, finally feeling herself break down. "I couldn't say no."
The ymbrynes features darkened even more at the statement, not hesitating a moment before bringing her into her arms. Y/n hesitated from the sudden touch but immediately returned it, needing someone to know. Someone to care, someone to make her feel better.
"Even if you were unable to say no, that does not change the reason that he is a horrible person." Alma says firmly, her talons gently tracing across y/n's back as the ymbryne held her close. "I'm sorry, y/n." She says, her voice softening as she felt her own tears start to build. Alma knew that if she ever found the man or had been there when it happened, she would've ripped him to shreds. A part of her was already hoping he was rotting away somewhere. In hell, hopefully.
"You didn't deserve what happened." Alma assured her, wanting her to listen closely to what she said. "No one does."
"I was really hoping you would have shown up." Y/n admits, her voice failing her and Alma bit the inside of her cheek, hugging her close, a tear rolling down her cheek.
"I wish I could have, my dear. I really wish I had known." Alma says, her voice growing soft as her blue eyes grew blurry from the the sudden tears, hugging the woman close. "Birds, I would've torn him to shreds." She whispers through her teeth, a part of her resentful towards the man and another hurt and wounded by the news of what had happened.
If only she had been there.
