2096, Four years Pre-mha

The night wind rustled against Yuka's short blonde hair as she ran towards the convenience store where she would meet her first mission, her heart pounding against her ribs.

Her first mission as an aspiring pro, assigned to her none other than her dear old father.

Father.

The word tasted sour on her lips even as she ran. The man she tried everything to please despite what he did to her.

The man who would hit her to let out his anger yet still claimed to be her guardian.

Aren't guardians supposed to protect their young instead of leave bruises scattered across their bodies every time they failed to please them?

She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't see the figure in front of her until it was too late. In an instant, she collided with a tall boy carrying groceries who had just stepped out the door. The impact sent her scrambling to regain her balance.

"Oh, I'm sorry, are you okay?" The boy's voice was deep and concerned as he reached out a hand to try and steady her.

Yuka blinked up at him, momentarily disoriented. Her eyes widened as she recognized that face.

"Shoto Todoroki," she murmured.

"This is the boy you must befriend. It's your mission to become his friend and go beyond that, do you understand?"

Yuka blinked, "why?"

He looked around her age, 11, heterochromic gray and blue eyes, split white and red hair, and a dark red scar blotching the left part of his face.

"I have an arrangement with his father to combine your quirks to our future child."

She gasped, "future child? Isn't that unethica-"

"We need the name of the Todorokis. Endeavor has given us an oppurtunity after seeing your use of your quirk last night, and you must take it. You don't want to disappoint me, do you?" He asked menacingly, eyes glinting. Yuka shrunk back and shook her head, "No, I don't."

She didn't understand what his obsession with her quirk was. He flaunted it to everyone, talked on and on about how powerful her quirk was. But the thing was, his quirk was self-detonation, which would kill him along with everyone else. And her mother's quirk was the ability to move her mouth faster, which only granted her the ability to talk endlessly when she was alive.

Yuka didn't know where such a powerful quirk of hers came from.

"Hello?" He asked, shaking her slightly. Yuka snapped out of her thoughts, staring up at Shoto Todoroki, who was looking at her with a mix of concern and curiosity. She quickly composed herself, forcing a smile to her lips.
