The next morning, the early sun barely managed to creep through the thin curtains of the dorm rooms, casting a faint light over the groggy faces of Class 1-A. The loud, insistent ringing of the alarm clock jolted everyone awake, and grumbles of discontent filled the air as students scrambled out of their beds.
Aizawa's voice, stern and no-nonsense, came through the intercom. "Class 1-A, gather in the courtyard immediately. We have an important discussion."
Confused murmurs spread through the dorms. "What's going on?" Midoriya asked, rubbing his eyes as he dressed hurriedly.
"The sun hasn't even gone up yet," Yuka commented, feeling completely empty.
Within minutes, the students had assembled in the courtyard, their faces still lined with sleep and confusion. Aizawa stood waiting for them, his usually relaxed and tired demeanor replaced by a rare display of severity. His eyes, though tired, held a stern, disappointed look.
As the students gathered, Aizawa began without preamble. "Last night, some of you decided to break curfew and engage in activities that were not only inappropriate but also counterproductive to our goals."
The group exchanged uneasy glances. The fun and games from the night before seemed distant now, replaced by the palpable weight of Aizawa's disappointment.
"You were instructed to use that time wisely, to build trust and camaraderie in a manner that aligns with our training values," Aizawa continued, his voice carrying a sharp edge. "Instead, you chose to ignore these guidelines and act irresponsibly."
He paused, letting his words sink in. "Breaking curfew is a serious matter. It shows a lack of respect for the rules and for your training. We are in a profession where discipline and responsibility are crucial. Last night's behavior was a clear indication that some of you have not fully grasped this concept."
The students stood silently, the weight of Aizawa's words sinking in. The light-heartedness of the previous night seemed like a distant memory now, overshadowed by the gravity of their instructor's disappointment.
"I am very disappointed in the way you handled yourselves," Aizawa continued, his voice unwavering. "You need to understand that every decision you make as future heroes affects not only yourselves but also your team and the people you protect. This is a lesson in accountability and the importance of following rules."
He looked around at the assembled students, his gaze steady and firm. "I woke you up an hour earlier than usual to drive this point home. Today, you will be punished accordingly while those who did not participate, which was only Mineta and Aoyama, will stay behind and have a good, lengthy breakfast.
The students' eyes widened as Aizawa revealed his plan. "You will run around the Beast's Forest, the forest you went through last time." He pointed at the trees they had emerged from yesterday. "However, this time there's a catch. If you don't make it back to the starting point within an hour, you will not be getting lunch."
