The evening sun cast long shadows across the UA campus as Yuka stepped off the bus that had brought her back from her internship with Gang Orca. The days had been long and demanding, filled with grueling training sessions and intense patrols, but she had thrived under the pressure.

She had started off right where she had left with her training, with a few modifications to the schedule to change the weight lifting for weighted flying, which honestly might have been worse.

As she walked toward the dorms, she shivered in the harsh bite of the cold air, nestling the lower half of her face into her jacket's collar.

But the cold didn't dampen her mood. Instead, it invigorated her, reminding her of the warmth that awaited her inside. Today was a special day, one that had been quietly whispered about and eagerly anticipated by all of Class 1-A.

Today was Shoto Todoroki's birthday.

Shoto had never celebrated his birthday before. It was a fact that had shocked Yuka when she first heard it. No cake, no candles, no parties—not even a simple acknowledgment of the day. For someone like Shoto, who had grown up in a household overshadowed by his father's harsh expectations, birthdays had likely felt like just another day.

But not this year. This year, his friends were determined to change that.

Yuka could feel the excitement buzzing in the air as she entered the dormitory. The common room was a flurry of activity, with her classmates moving about, setting up decorations, arranging food, and putting the final touches on a day that was meant to make Shoto feel truly celebrated.

"Yuka! You're finally here!" Mina exclaimed, rushing over to greet her. "We were starting to worry you wouldn't make it in time."

"I wouldn't miss this for the world," Yuka replied with a grin, shrugging off her coat.

Mina snorted. "Of course you wouldn't. It is your boyfriend after all."

Yuka rolled her eyes, hanging up her coat and flexing her numb fingers in the warmth. "What can I do to help?"

Mina gestured toward the kitchen, where Midoriya and Uraraka were carefully putting together the finishing touches on a birthday cake. "Could you give them a hand with the cake? Midoriya's been stressing over it for the past hour."

Yuka chuckled and nodded, making her way to the kitchen. As she approached, she saw Midoriya's face twisted in concentration, his hand trembling slightly as he tried to write "Happy Birthday, Shoto!" in icing on the cake's surface. Uraraka stood beside him, offering encouraging words that only seemed to make him more nervous.

"Need some help?" Yuka offered, stepping up beside Midoriya.

Midoriya looked up, his eyes wide with relief. "Yes, please! I didn't think decorating a cake would be this hard."
