Yuka awoke in a sterile, white room, the soft hum of medical equipment filling the silence. She recognized where she was as the school hospital she had entered yesterday for a brief xray.

The smell of antiseptic lingered in the air. She blinked slowly, her surroundings coming into focus. The room was quiet, save for the occasional shuffle of footsteps outside. The reality of her surroundings was a stark contrast to the chaotic dreams that had plagued her.

The dull throb in her head was the only reminder of the insanity she had endured. There was no more voices whispering in her ear, though the words still haunted her.

She shifted in bed, feeling the stiffness in her muscles and the heaviness of the sedation still lingering in her system. The previous day's events were a jumbled blur—an exam gone awry, a haunting vision, and then...nothing.

"You're awake," recovery girl said, quickly passing her a bottle of water and a piece of bread. "We kept you in the school overnight, just because the sedative knocked you out good, and we wanted to be here when you wake up to survey your condition. How do you feel?"

Yuka frowned, "normal, I guess?"

"Great!" The old woman said with a smile, hopping off her chair and leaving her alone in her bed.

She breathed out a shaky breath, her gaze dropping down to her hands.

The door to her room creaked open, and Shoto Todoroki stepped inside. His usual calm demeanor was tinged with concern as he saw Yuka sitting up in bed. His eyes softened, though he struggled to hide his worry.

"Hey, Yuka, Recovery girl came to get me. She thought you might want some mental support." he said, his voice gentle but carrying an undercurrent of anxiety. "How are you feeling?"

Yuka offered a weak smile. "I'm...better, I think. What happened?"

Shoto walked over to her bedside and pulled up a chair. "You had a rough day. You seemed really out of it after the exam. I ended up taking you to the school hospital. Recovery Girl said you were just exhausted and stressed, and that's why you had that reaction."

Yuka nodded, her mind slowly becoming more lucid. "I remember bits and pieces. I—" She hesitated, her brow furrowing as she searched for the right words. "I felt like my world was falling apart. Everything felt so surreal, and then...I saw things. Strange things. Do you know if something happened during the exam?"

Shoto shook his head. "We were all worried when you started acting strangely. You seemed like you were in a daze. Honestly, we were all kind of terrified. You had this strange look in your eyes-- like you were seeing something we weren't. I mean, I guess you weren't, but... it was scary. I'm the only student who knows anything that happened. The teachers aren't letting me say anything, and they said you couldn't either. I don't know what their problem is, it's your choice." He sighed, his gaze softening as his eyes trailed over her weakened state. "Recovery Girl couldn't find anything physically wrong with you. But..."
