On the 7th of July, the day of the confrontation with Yotsuya Kaidan, Kaiya woke up earlier than usual to train before the fight. She had trained almost every day since the war between the two gangs was declared. As she went through her routine, memories of how it all started flooded back to her.
It began when Kojiro viciously beat a member of the Toman gang nearly to death and kidnapped his little sister. When Keisuke discovered this, he rallied the First Division and set out to avenge their comrade. Despite Kojiro's confidence, he was no match for Keisuke. However, the tide seemed to turn when Ryusei joined the fight against Keisuke, giving Yotsuya Kaidan a glimmer of hope for victory.
Desperate to ensure his gang's triumph, Kojiro drew a knife and hurled it at Keisuke. Ryusei, disapproving of his leader's treacherous actions, intervened and took the blow to his left leg. As the sound of approaching police sirens filled the air, the Yotsuya Kaidan members fled, leaving Ryusei behind.
Kaiya rushed to Ryusei's side and began tending to his wound, having always carried bandages with her. Ryusei was taken aback by her kindness, but what surprised him even more was when Keisuke approached and, along with another First Division member, helped him stand.
- "Why?" Ryusei asked Kaiya as she carefully patched up his injury.
- "Huh?" She responded, momentarily confused. "You protected my captain...and your so-called friends abandoned you."
- "Oh... you're the doc," Ryusei whispered, recognising her. Everyone had heard about the special medical unit of Toman and the girl doctor who led it.
They all gathered and headed to the confrontation area, an abandoned building shrouded in decay and silence, an ideal place to fight undisturbed. The building's crumbling walls and shattered windows stood as silent witnesses to the impending clash.
In front of the Yotsuya Kaidan members, with his hands in his pockets, stood Ryusei. His tall, imposing figure cast a long shadow in the dim light, his eyes fixed intently on Keisuke, unwavering and full of determination. Beside him was Kojiro, his expression a mixture of defiance and hostility, his body tense like a coiled spring ready to snap.
Keisuke stepped into the desolate yard, the ground crunching beneath his feet, followed closely by Chifuyu, Kaiya, and the other members of the First Division of Tokyo Manji. The air was thick with tension, every footstep echoing through the hollow ruins. Kaiya, carrying her medical kit, felt her heart pounding in her chest, but her face remained a mask of calm determination.
The atmosphere was charged, the silence of the abandoned building amplifying the gravity of the moment. Both sides faced each other across the derelict yard, eyes locked in a deadly stare. The once vibrant graffiti on the walls seemed faded and ghostly, a stark contrast to the vibrant, living energy of the rival gangs poised for battle.
A gust of wind blew through the broken windows, scattering dust and debris, as if the building itself was exhaling in anticipation. The scene was set for a confrontation that would leave its mark on both gangs, the outcome uncertain, but the resolve of each member clear and unyielding.
- "Come now. Let's finish this, Toman!!" Kojiro shouted, his voice echoing through the abandoned building, his eyes burning with intensity.
- "Tsk! Couldn't fucking believe it until I saw it with my own damn eyes... Shit.. What the hell happened, Ryusei?" Chu, a member of the First Division, asked Ryusei, his eyes betraying a hint of sadness.
- "Don't even bother thinking about it, Chu-san!" Chifuyu interjected. "Ryusei's been pissing me off too. I have no idea what the guy's thinking... but if we give it our all and fight each other like this, we'll be relieved of all our problems!" he said, smiling with a mix of excitement and determination.
