After the tumultuous events surrounding Yotsuya Kaidan and Ryusei's heartfelt confession to Kaiya, a semblance of peace had settled over her life. However, recently, Kaiya began noticing an unsettling pattern. Guys wearing Yotsuya Kaidan's distinct uniforms were appearing more frequently around her school. It wasn't just a coincidence; some of them seemed to be following her. This realization filled her with dread, particularly because she was always accompanied by her cousin, Akira. The thought of danger befalling Akira or, worse, those men discovering where she lived and causing trouble for her aunt, kept her on edge.

One day, Kaiya's fears were confirmed when she spotted one of the uniformed guys talking to Akira. The fear in Akira's eyes was palpable, and Kaiya's protective instincts kicked in. Despite the guy's taller and more imposing stature, she was prepared to confront him to safeguard her cousin. However, as soon as he noticed Kaiya approaching, he smirked and walked away, leaving a tense silence in his wake.

- "What did that guy want from you, Akira?" Kaiya asked, gently taking her cousin's hand in an attempt to soothe her.

- "He... he asked me out," Akira replied, still visibly shaken.

- "Don't interact with those guys. Did he threaten you?" Kaiya's concern was evident in her voice.

- "No, he seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me," Akira answered, her confusion mirroring Kaiya's growing unease.

In the evening, after Akira had gone to sleep, Kaiya decided to confide in her aunt. Sensing the tension radiating from her niece, Mai felt a pang of fear, dreading the worst. She lit a cigarette, the soft glow illuminating her worried expression, and motioned for Kaiya to sit on the sofa.

- "Mai, I won't go into many details, but some of the guys we fought a while ago have started appearing at my school. One of them was talking to Akira today. I'm so sorry about this, Mai. I never imagined something like this would happen," Kaiya said, her voice heavy with guilt and pain.

- "You promised, Kaiya! If anything happens to my daughter, I'll send you flying back to where you came from! I've always pitied you and Kazutora for having such idiotic parents, but this is where I draw the line," Mai said, her voice tinged with disappointment and anger. After a moment, seeing how deeply her words affected Kaiya, she softened. "So... what do you want now?" she asked, her tone calmer but still firm.

Kaiya, feeling the weight of her aunt's words, took a deep breath.

- "Yes, I do have something in mind," she admitted, her shame evident. "I want to be enrolled again in the same school as Keisuke."

Mai took a long drag from her cigarette, contemplating Kaiya's request.

- "I will do it tomorrow. Just make sure that everybody knows you will be going to another school," she said with a sigh, her resolve firm but her heart heavy.

The next day, Kaiya made sure to casually mention to everyone that she would be returning to her old school. She discussed it repeatedly with Akira throughout the day, bringing it up so often that Akira eventually became visibly irritated.

- "Why the hell did you decide to go back to that school? It's going to take you forever to get there every day. I just don't understand you!" Akira yelled as they walked out of the school gates. The late afternoon sun cast long shadows on the ground, and the same guys from Yotsuya Kaidan were lingering nearby, their eyes following her every move.

Kaiya had made a pact with Mai to keep the true reason for her transfer a secret from Akira. Both knew that if Akira discovered the real motive, she would try to convince Kaiya to stay and would be furious with her mother for burdening Kaiya with the responsibility of protecting her.
