The fight between Taiju and Mitsuya was brutal, each punch landing with the force of all the anger and history between them. Kaiya sat by the bench where Yuzuha lay unconscious, her eyes scanning the area for any danger. She had already checked Yuzuha for serious wounds and, thankfully, found none that needed immediate attention. However, Yuzuha's exhaustion was clear—emotionally drained from the constant violence surrounding her. Kaiya could relate all too well, understanding the toll such a life could take. Without thinking, she took off her sweater, despite the chilly air, and gently covered Yuzuha with it. The adrenaline coursing through her veins kept her warm, though she was still on high alert.

Chifuyu hadn't arrived yet, but she wasn't worried about him—Kisaki and Hanma were likely long gone. They weren't stupid enough to come back. But not long after the fight started, Chifuyu appeared, explaining to Takemichi how Kisaki and Hanma had ambushed him and tied him down, and how Kaiya had helped free him before rushing back to help the others. He also mentioned that he had called Mitsuya on his way to the church, which finally made sense—Kaiya had messaged Mitsuya too, but he had arrived far quicker than expected.

The fight between Mitsuya and Taiju continued relentlessly. Kaiya's heart pounded as she watched Mitsuya, who, exhausted, fell to one knee. Instinctively, she stood up, gripping the backrest of the bench tightly, her body tense and ready to jump in. But Mitsuya had already asked her to stay back, and despite every fiber in her body screaming for her to help, she respected his wish.

- "What's wrong, Mitsuya?" Taiju sneered, towering over him, a smug grin spreading across his face. "I've only been using 70% of my power."

Kaiya almost scoffed at the absurdity of his words. A loading bar? She thought sarcastically. What a load of bullshit.

"Ah? Don't talk like you've got the advantage," Mitsuya shot back, struggling to his feet. "A strap from my boot came loose, that's all."

Hearing this, Hakkai, still watching from the sidelines, panicked.

- "Don't do it, Taka-chan!" he shouted, fear gripping his voice. "You can't win! You can't beat him!! What's wrong with you?! I thought you were smart! You don't fight pointless battles like this! He's bigger and older than you! You don't have anything that'll help you win!!"

Kaiya's patience snapped at Hakkai's desperate words.

- "Shut it!" she said sharply, her voice cutting through the tension like a knife. Her hands were clenched so tightly around the bench's backrest that her knuckles turned white, every muscle in her body tensed. Her eyes remained locked on Mitsuya and Taiju, but there was something darker in her gaze now—something raw, filled with buried rage. When she had inspected Yuzuha earlier, she had noticed that her nose was broken. That sight triggered a flood of painful memories—memories of when her father had broken her nose, and she had woken up in a hospital. Now, all that hate she had felt for her father resurfaced, but this time, she had the chance to fight back, just as she had with Kensho.

Chifuyu, noticing the tension in Kaiya, spoke to Hakkai, trying to explain.

- "Hakkai, don't you get it?" he asked, his voice calmer but firm. "He's being stubborn because you're watching. Mitsuya-kun's a clever dude. He can estimate what will happen. He's putting himself on the line 'cause he knows what he's doing. For your sake."

- "Mitsuya-kun's not gonna lose," Takemichi added, his faith in Mitsuya unwavering.

But as the fight wore on, Taiju, still standing tall, chuckled darkly.

- "You're a tough bastard," he said, though there was a hint of frustration in his voice. He had expected to crush Mitsuya by now. "I'm getting tired, so it's time we finished this. Now, Inui!"
