No one was more excited for this day than Charlotte's girls.
They had grown to love Mia just as much as Charlotte did and they were happy that they were all going to be living together. Charlotte and Mia had taken some time to explain to the girls that the two of them were dating and that Mia was now going to move in with them.
"Will it be like when Daddy lived with us?" Grace, the oldest girl asked, Charlotte's heart jumped a bit at the mention of their father. Before she could think, Mia spoke up.
"What do you mean sweetheart?"
"Well, Daddy would always sleep next to Mommy, but then he went into the other room to sleep there, and then he left." she looked down at her fingers, playing with them as she felt nervous. Mia knew she got that from her mom. She stood up from the couch and walked over to the two girls, bending down to sit on her knees so she would be at eye level with them.
"No sweetheart. It's not going to be like that. I love your mommy very much, and I love you two very much. You three mean the world to me, and I could never leave." The two girls smiled at her as she talked to them, and it made Charlotte's heart absolutely melt.
"Mia.. are you gonna be our mamma?" this took the two women by surprise, but Mia kept her smile.
"Hmm. Not yet sweetheart. Maybe one day when I ask you Mommy to marry me, but shhhh, that's a secret." Mia half whispered the last part while looking over at her girlfriend. Char's face was bright red, and Mia smirked at it.
Now the next day was here and everyone was once again gathered together to help. Mia and Char had talked about what they wanted to keep and what to sell, because having two of almost everything didn't make any sense to them.
Mia had sold most of her furniture, but they decided to swap a few of Char's things for hers as it was slightly newer. It was mostly kitchen appliances anyway.
"Listen, as much as I love you all... you better get your asses settled now. I ain't doing another move." Marjorie said as they stood outside, waiting for the truck to arrive. It had started getting cold now, and everyone knew Marjorie was not a fan of being cold.
Finally, the truck with all of Mia's things arrived at the home, and everyone was eager to get started, hoping it would warm them up a bit. Even Grace and Felicity were bundled up in jackets ready to help. Mia smiled at the two young girls and handed them each a pillow.
She smiled at them, watching as they ran inside, ever so happy that they were helping. They all started carrying in boxes and suitcases. There wasn't much furniture, so it would hopefully not take too long to get it all sorted out.
"Mia, this box is labelled, PVT. Where should it go?" Winter asks her. Mia's eyes widen and she rushes over to take it from him.
"I umm... I'll take it, it's fine. Thanks." She quickly turned down the hallway and rushed to the bedroom to put away the box. Winter just raised his eyebrow and walked away. He had barely made it two feet, then his loose shoelace caused him to fall to the floor.
Autumn saw this and quickly rushed to his side.
"My sweet. Are you alright?" she asked as she helped him up.
"Hm, yes quite alright. Just a bit sore now, it's not fully healed after I got run over in the nursery hallway." He says as he glares at Marjorie.
"Look, I said I was sorry, what more do you want." she throws her hands up in the air and goes to get another box from the truck. Charlotte brought him some ice and they made their way to the couch.
"Well, the good news is that this is the last box," Marjorie says as she walks in, box in hand. She walks over to Winter on the couch, placing the box down next to her.
"I really am sorry, Winter."
"It's alright, Marjorie. I will be fine. It's not too bad."
It did not take them long to help unpack all the boxes, as Mia did not have too many things she wanted to keep. The two young girls had fallen asleep on the couch. They were trying to keep Winter company but ended up sleeping after settling down.
"Thank you all so much for helping. It really does mean the world to me." Mia tells them. Reece raises an eyebrow at her.
"You going soft on us now." He said with a smirk. She shot him a glare and there him a middle finger.
"Amelia!" Charlotte scowls at her. She gave her girlfriend a sheepish smile before glaring at Reece again, who had now gotten a slap on the arm from Marjorie.
Once everyone had left, Mia wrapped her arms around Charlotte's waist and pulled her in for a searing kiss. Charlotte's hands tangled into Mia's hair as she deepened the kiss. Char lets out a soft moan as Mia bites her bottom lip, pulling it softly. Mia looks her in the eyes, and Charlotte swears no one has ever looked at her the way Mia does.
When Mia would look at other people, her face would remain cold, and her eyes almost, uninterested. But as soon as she looked at Char, her eyes would soften and light up. Charlotte swears you could see more colour in her eyes when she looked at her. And at times like this, where it was just the two of them, Mia looked at Char like she had hung the moon and all the stars in the sky.
"Char, there is something I need to tell you," Mia said, a smile still on her face and eyes ever so soft. Charlotte just let out a soft hum in acknowledgement.
"Char... I... I love you." Mia never broke eye contact, and she could see Char's eyes widening. Her stomach turned... was this not the right time?
Before Mia could start to panic, Charlotte pulled her in for another deep kiss. They had only pulled away when their lungs had started screaming for some air,
"Mia, I love you too."
