TW - mentions of Rape, miscarriage and body shaming (fatphobia)
"Thank you, Charlotte. I am glad she is okay now. Take the week, be with her. We will see you next week. Giver her all the love." Marjorie said, before hanging up on the phone and joining Reece on the couch. He smiles at her and wraps his arm around her shoulder, placing a kiss on her temple.
"They're all okay now?"
"Yes, they are all good now. Felicity needs to stay there to be checked on, but everything is looking good." Marjorie snuggles into Reece and he wraps his arm tighter around her.
"Marjorie?"
"Hmmm. yeah?"
"Do you want kids?"
Reece feels as his girlfriend stiffens in his arms. He could feel her starting to shake a little. He runs his hands up her arms and places them on her face, turning her to look at him. He can notice tears brimming in her eyes.
"Marjorie? Breathe for me, darling." He could clearly see that she was starting to have a panic attack. He had helped Autumn and Carly through so many of them, he could spot it a mile away. He pulled her onto his lap and rested her head on his chest, so she could listen to his heartbeat.
"Just listen to my heart darling, I got you. You're safe." after a few minutes he could feel her breathing start to even out, and her sobs became soft sniffles. He continued to rub small circles on her back, and she buried her face in his neck.
"Reece." She mumbled in his neck, her voice cracking.
"Yes?" He was so scared about what could have been the reason for her to react like this. She took a deep breath before pulling away so she could look at him in the eyes.
"I can't have kids." more tears streamed down her face. He softens and places a hand on her cheek.
"That's okay. You are more than enough for me. Besides, Carlys basically like our daughter. I still love you, no matter what." she smiles softly at him before leaning in and kissing him. All of her emotions pour out into the kiss.
She needs to tell him...
When she pulls back, she looks into his eyes again. tears still brimming in her eyes.
"I was seventeen..."
"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to."
"I do. I want to tell you. I want you to know why I really left the Van Gould family." He nods at her, and she takes his hand in hers, a way to ground herself.
"I was seventeen..."
Seventeen-year-old Marjorie Van Gould stood in the store, trying to find the perfect dress for her upcoming 18th birthday party. Her stepfather was planning a big party, mostly an excuse to invite all of his business partners and investors to get more money. Just as she was about to pick up a dress she loved, her mother stood by her side.
"No no no, Marjorie. You are far too fat for a dress like that. Here this is better. If you would just lose some weight, maybe you would be able to fit into the dress you want." Her mother stuffs a dress in her hands.
The dress wasn't ugly, but she didn't love it as much as she loved the one in front of her. She sighed and went to put on the dress her mother gave her. It looked good on her. It was a knee-length white dress that flowed over her body. She liked how it looked on her, but she would have loved that red flowery dress.
Marjorie had no say in what would happen at her party, she was told what to do. She was to greet guests and then make herself scarce. They didn't want her embarrassing them. And that is exactly what she did. Once everyone arrived and she blew out the candles on her cake, she slipped out the back door, going to sit in the garden. She thought she was alone, but she was very wrong.
"Marjorie. Sweet, what are you doing out here... all alone?" the voice made her hair stand up straight. It was her stepfather's business partner, John. She never liked him.
"I uhh. I'm just getting some fresh air. I should be getting back inside now." She tried to get away, but he grabbed her arm, holding her still.
"Don't go running off now... I have a birthday present for you." The smile on his lips made her stomach flip. She tried getting loose, but his grip was too strong. She couldn't get loose.
"You are going to keep your mouth shut, and if you tell anyone about this, you'll be dead." She told her, pushing her down on the ground and lifting her dress. She tried kicking, but he grabbed her ankles.
She wasn't strong enough...

Weeks passed and Marjorie started getting very sick. She could barely keep anything down and she was so tired. It felt like a bus had run her over.
"It's a good thing you can't eat. you've put on more pounds since your birthday. Now you can lose them." Her mother said, slapping her stomach. Marjorie winched in pain, she was in constant pain and had to beg her mother to take her to the doctor.
When she finally agreed, the doctor told her that she was pregnant, and Marjorie had no choice but to tell them what happened on her birthday. At first, they didn't believe her, but when they told John she was pregnant, he admitted it.
"I have made an appointment for you. You are getting rid of that ... thing." her stepfather said. Marjorie's heart dropped. Even though it wasn't under the circumstances she wanted., Marjorie had always wanted to be a mom. She couldn't do it.
"Mom, please. don't make me do this. I want to keep it."
"Are you crazy?! If this news gets out, it will ruin the company!"She started struggling with her mother, trying to get away. They didn't even realise they were moving. Moving closer to the stairs... until it was too late.
"We went to the hospital, and it wasn't good news." Marjorie's face was now covered in tears.
"They told me, due to the damage, I would never have children. One of my ovaries burst." Reece held her brighter than he ever had before. He couldn't believe she went through this.
"That's when I left. I couldn't face them."
"They caused you to lose your baby." Marjorie stiffened a bit.
"Well... I made them think I did." she looked at him, and his eyes had never been bigger.
"What?"
"Because I had left, I didn't have anything to take care of her. I had to give her up for adoption."
"You have a daughter somewhere in the world?" Marjorie's eyes started tearing up, and she shook her head.
"No... not somewhere in the world. Somewhere in the nursery."
Reece froze for a second. As he connected all the dots, he let out a gasp.
"Carly"
